Lots of racing history in this Montreal shop. Owner is very knowledgeable of the real Italian bikes of the past and able to fix them. I was looking for some specific tires he was the only place that could fine them. He has built relationships with the industry suppliers with the last 50 years! what is Enzo Ferrari favourite quote ! that he built his best cars at the age of 55! This shop owner is over 80 years! Check it out !
Terrible! Yeah, the experience is really bad. After keeping my bike for 3 days, I was told to take my bike back in un-repaired, de-assembled condition with ball-bearings lost. The owner is rude, doesn't respect your time, and totally unprofessional. The service charges are super high. $35 is the minimum. Moreover, he charges 4-5 times the price of any parts and doesn't clearly mention the total repairing cost. Using this tactic, he simply robs you. On the other hand, he hires a mechanic only for 30 minutes a day. So, even for a small repair, you have to come back the next day. That too, if you are lucky enough in terms of mechanic's availability. Please avoid going to this shop. It'll save you a lot of time!
This place is just outright terrible. They can't fix your bike properly and when you call them out they start yelling at you. Customer service is just terrible and I don't fully recommend coming here ever.
Don’t go here. He ripped me off in one month. The first time, i brought my bike for alignment and he told me at first 20$. Then i come back a week later he said my wheels are old so he couldn’t do it. Also his mechanic wasn’t in yet so he got lazy. He charged me 40$ for not doing anything but greasing my chain which i didn’t ask for. I can’t even start about the second time... it’s my fault i went back there. Unfortunately there are no real bike shops in the area
Bought a few tubes to fix a flat. Fairly priced and the owner cracked a few jokes for free. 10/10 would go again.
Let me explain to you the situation: my dad had the brake cable to replace the broken. So, we went to see the owner of the store. However, he was offering to charge us a brake cable that he had which was NOT the right part and he did his so-called diagnostic of the bike. We had a pretty old bike but we were able to change the parts on our own. He wanted to change everything but we didn’t want to. We went to see another bike shop and they were able to fix the brake cable. I was so disappointed but that man went from « he was willing to help » to « I am busy » discourse in a matter of minutes. Not only that, but other clients were also given the same treatment. If you have a newer bike, maybe you’ll have a better luck with the man. However, since we had pretty good knowledge of fixing bikes but just needed help for that one part, I was disappointed that he wasn’t nice at all. Un peu déçu du service étant donné que ça ne devrait pas être long de remplacer le câble en question. He had a very condescending tone and the fact that he was about to charge us an exorbitant amount makes me think that he was really crafty. But this is the first time I get to say this to any place: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE AT ALL. Please find someone else to help you and try other bike shops. This man definitely did not have any patience or kindness. Have a nice day guys!
Just picked up my bike, needed a new inner tube nothing more nothing less. Said they call me the next day when it was finished and they didn't call, I had to show up and ask for my bike back. Like some of the other comments I saw the chain was greased when I didn't ask for it, the communication with this store is absolutely horrendous. I've only had my bike for a day now and everything seems okay...but I'll 100% come back here to re-review if something goes wrong, I highly doubt I'll EVER return here again.
Efficient service, but none of what I asked to repair on my bike was repaired. I was told that my bike "is not a car, so you can't expect good brakes." 40$ for a repair and the brake cables were hanging loose off the frame of the bike and I was yelled at when I inquired about the issue. Going downhill the brake pads rub against the frame, an issue I asked to be fixed, and the wheels spin freely with both brakes held tight. I'm unsure what I payed for...
I came in for a simple repair of my bike gear. The shop put the gear on upside down, and refused to even agree it was done wrong. When I payed and left the owner said "remember once you walk out of the store the guarantee on my parts is finished".
Really nice guy, made a couple of jokes with me. Bit of an odd sense of humour but it's all with good intentions. I needed a pair of pedals for an an old cannondale mountain bike I had fixed up. The owner talked me out of a more expensive pair of pedals, and when I asked to buy some grease he just greased them for me. It's the perfect place for this kind of pop-in job.
