Good customer service but a couple of seasonal products, like tent repair supplies, were out of stock. Displaying more tents as assembled would be helpful. The store was very clean and organized, and it was easy to find products. Friendly staff.

Staff generally ask me if I need help, and have been good at providing some advice and showing me where things are. Selection is okay. However, the location is the worst thing about this store. Getting to Marché Central feels like an expedition. Crossing the six lanes of traffic and highway on-ramps is dangerous. Bus service is just okay. If MEC cared more about sustainability, this store would be closer to transit and easier to walk to.

Know that this is NOT the original MEC. I was a member of MEC for 30 years. No more. Customer service is shoddy, so poor and infuriating. The MEC products are all literally garbage after a season. It's a shame the original company sold out several years ago, and is now called Mountain Equipment COMPANY - that should be a big indicator about what their principles are now. It's longer a 'cooperative'. I'm a gear junkie, backcountry, climbing, outdoors nut, and I will no longer buy anything from MECompany. Plus the staff at the Marche Central store in Montreal is untrustworthy. Super disappointed.

Purchased this article Mec Vectair Insulated LT Sleeping Pad - Unisex - Yellow couple of years ago and was satisfied until, during inflation, the mattress molding “popped out”. I reached the store and was told that I left it under the sun, which I never did always inflated at night and stored back to my bag on the morning. I then reached the support on the 10th of February and have not got a reply since.nI strongly believe that I purchased a defective product, which was actually discontinued during a short period just after my purchase.nIm really disappointed by MEC, where I used to purchase all my expedition gear for mountaineering and climbing.

I've been a member for about 15 years, but it's gotten worse over time. Don't trust their return and guarantee policies! They're worthless.nnThe last straw was when I tried to return a product, but because a slimsy sticker had fallen off of the item, they refused to refund it, even if their returns policy on the website clearly said it was returnable even without the sticker.
