Customer service is never offered, and that seems to be the case right across the MEC brand now. Several years ago, the "advisors", as they're apparently now called, used to offer to assist customers, asking if you needed help, etc., basic customer service. Now, no matter which MEC location you visit, it's you, the customer, who just ask for the help. Other than that, good products like other outdoor shops, plus their house brand. Just wish the customer service was there like before to make the difference.

I didn’t like my MEC experience. It took 45mins on the phone repeating the same information to 3 different persons to rent two pairs of skis for a day! Their cancellation policy is absurd: if you don’t cancel within 48h of you rental date you’re not reimbursed or credited, even if you’ve reserved less than 48h before! No refund, no credit, no consideration. Never again MEC.

Too expensive. Over rated. Crazy pricing. Buy cheaper on Amazon. Even stuff on sale is crazy expensive.

Got my rockclimbing gear here. The staff was really helpful, the store is nicely laid out, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
