I've mostly had good experiences here, but it really depends on which staff member you get and how busy they are. For example, I bought a bike here, which was supposed to come with 5 years of free basic tuneups basically just look at it and make minor adjustments I think. Anyway, I got the impression they really didn't want to give me this service, and it was quite complicated to get it done involving phoning ahead to make an appointment and then scheduling and blah blah blah so I didn't bother beyond the first. For more extensive repairs, I had some good service from one mechanic, and bad advice from another which left me with a broken chain. Again, mostly good experiences, but I wish they were more reliable and more convenient.
I'm grateful for the advancement of technology, specifically Google.. Because after 30-40 minutes of getting camping stove advice from all sources except a store employee, I was finally acknowledged by the cashier as she gave me my total. I'll be sure to shop online or elsewhere next time.
I was worried the amazing service I use to receive back when this location was Le Yeti, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised it’s as good as it ever was. Especially In the bike shop downstairs. Alway super satisfied with the quality/speed/communication of the bike mechanics.
I got a pair of climbing shoes here. Service was very quick and friendly. Considering I came in 10 minutes before closing time, the staff was incredibly patient and helpful with me. I only wish they had a bigger selection of climbing shoes in store - especially considering their prices are higher than MEC for instance. Apart from that, really great store experience. The employee who helped me also suggested ordering a pair to the store and checking other locations for stock, so I really appreciated that.
My experience was extremely disappointing. I went to get a ski helmet for my husband's birthday and I was suggested to get it online because I was not sure about the size. they only had medium available in store. The sales person knew I was shopping for a gift and he never mentioned that if the size wasn't good It was NOT POSSIBLE to exchange it. I went ahead and bought the large size online.... in the end it was big and my husband is unable to use it. They refused to exchange it because of security reasons....which I can totally understand but it was never mentioned to me. My husband went to the store because i was so upset at that point and another sales person suggested he should order online they didn't have the good size anymore and again he was not mentioned the fact that this is not refundable.... I spent almost $300 on this gift.... I can't believe they don't train their staff to give the right information to their clients. Mayor rip off. I was going to get a few gifts for family and ready to spend a good amount but this was just unacceptable. Please avoid getting anything from this store.
One of my favorite shops to visit in town. The staff is very knowledgeable. The selection of bikes is great with everything ranging from road to adventure bikes and even fat bikes. Unlike many shops in town, they have a huge selection of specialized accessories that go hand in hand with the bikes they sell. I love the direction they're heading and I believe they're one of the only local shops putting emphasis on the up and coming adventure/gravel bike segment right now..
Well managed store with regards to covid considerations. I got very fast and thorough service from the bikes and skis department rep. Highly recommended to shop here for your outdoor needs!
Excellent service and equipment. Had trouble with my cross country ski boots and the store person spent an hour with me helping me find the perfect boots and bindings. Also have a great selection of clothing for winter sports, at pretty good prices esp for their own La Cordée brand clothes
Price doesn't match what is on sale on the website ... employees seemed a bit annoyed why all us customers were coming for specific items ... on sale. Still, I wouldn't say it was an ''unpleasant'' experience. It would just be appreciated to have a relevant price tag on the items.
Highly recommend to order in another bike store rather than La Cordée if you can. There is no in store pick-up and the delivery times are super high made an order 1 week ago and still not shipped.
