Great box with awesome coaches and members. WOD's are well structured and posted online through ZEN Planner, so you know what you're getting into that day and you can see how you stack up on the leaderboard if you want. Olympic lifting sessions are fantastic and you really get watched closely for technique - really hurts your brain, but in a fun and awesome way.
Wow! Oleksiy and his Team are incredible! This facility is loaded with the best equipment and high energy beats to send your exercise routine into the next level. Exercise has Levels!! I had no idea that a workout can be like this. So Fun and so welcoming. Athlete Inside Performance makes it easy to help you get into shape and feel confident and that's a simple fact. Happy exercising with a supportive community and music that makes you feel like dancing between sets!
This is for anyone who ever considered giving CrossFit a try but hasn’t taken the leap to try it... JUST DO IT! I was incredibly nervous for the fundamentals class and then even more nervous stepping into my first real CrossFit class BUT I just finished my first class & IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!! The coaches and members are supportive and welcoming. The gym even has a big sign at the front reminding you to check the ego at the door. Come in humble, train hard & feel like you’re apart of a varsity team! SO MANY GOOD VIBES!!!!
Outstanding gym. Coaches are extremely knowledgeable and motivating: each one of them has a different coaching style and brings something unique to every workout. The programming is also excellent: you will become stronger without even noticing it while having fun. Members are welcoming and will always encourage you when you feel under the weather. If you are on the fence about joining Crossfit, drop by AI and let this awesome community win you over. This is truly a great gym.
I started at this gym having never tried CrossFit before. Before starting I was out of shape and very intimidated to start. From the moment I walked in the door, I was welcomed and felt at ease. The sense of community at this gym is unparalleled. In addition to the community, the coaching staff is amazing. The coaches take time to make sure you understand the movements before doing them, and all workouts and movements can be scaled to your fitness level. I found a sense of confidence here with the barbell that I never expected to have - thanks to all the coaches, but most notably coach Russell for helping me with this. If you’re looking for a new gym, or want to give CrossFit a try, I highly recommend AI.
What a great gym!!! We are not from Calgary but didn’t want to miss our workout. We sent an email, and they got back to us super quickly saying they would book us in. We had coach Erin for our workout and I can not say how great it was. Both my husband and myself are new to Crossfit and she was super patient, gave us tons of advise and modifications when we needed them. The people are great. The best part is that I never felt my level of fitness was being judged but everybody was encouraging to just do your best and push yourself as far as you can go! Will definitely stop back whenever we are in Calgary!
I have been a member of CrossFit AI for 6 months now, and it's one the best programs I have ever decided to join. I feel amazing! Crossfit can seem intimidating at first, but the staff at Crossfit AI accommodate people of all ages and fitness levels with scaled/modified workouts that are challenging and confidence building. All of the coaches are very knowledgeable and have a great safety focus. Staff and members are very welcoming, and thrive on seeing others succeed in accomplishing their goals. A very positive and motivating environment. The workouts are very rewarding too, and they leave you with a great sense of accomplishment. I find that my work related stress levels have dropped, and I feel much stronger both mentally and physically. I am hooked, and highly recommend that those who are new to CrossFit, come try it, and see for yourself how fulfilling it can be.
I have been a member of Crossfit AI for about 4 months now - right off the bat, I walked into a friendly and supportive environment. Not only did trainers welcome me in, but so did fellow members. It was easy for me not to feel intimidated or scared, as someone who initially isn't a very active or athletic person to begin with - I received a lot of great coaching on proper technique, which in turn, has improved my overall health, strength, and performance immensely. I never walk in feeling unsure of the workout or what I'll accomplish for the day because the coaches here are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic; they break everything down step by step, they correct you when needed, and they cheer you on. Everything I learn through the scheduled group classes, I can take with me to practice and perform on my own in the open gym times with growing confidence, because of the training we receive and the support that is always around you. This is an all around great gym and I recommend it to anyone!
I started Crossfit AI when I was over 40 and I was nervous to say the least. What a welcoming and awesome community! These people have become my family are such a wonderful and caring community. I'm so proud of what Coach Russ and Coach Dave have had me do in the past 3 years. I've never been stronger and felt more cared for. Best gym EVER!
