I have never felt so welcomed walking into a gym in my life! The front end staff are welcoming and make an effort to know you by name and take an interest in you, the coaches are phenomenal and encouraging no matter what fitness level you are, the members are all super helpful and supportive, the facility is beautiful, and overall you couldn't ask for a better environment to work out in! I never thought I could enjoy going to the gym so much until I joined here. Reasonable membership prices and awesome value with great coaches, awesome classes to get you moving, and quality equipment if you want to work out self directed. I'm by no means super fit, but this place encourages me and helps me improve that every time I walk through the door!

Love my gym. If you're like me you probably join a gym and work out for a few months and then inevitably you get bored and stop going. Then the gym continues to bill you because you're in a contract and you resent it. Well this was the opposite for me when I joined this gym. I was skeptical that it would be a bunch of hardcore cage fighters but it really is a solid community of people from all walks of life. The class times made it really easy for me to attend regularly and start seeing results within a few months. I have done personal training with a few of the coaches and they are all pretty intelligent and know exactly how to get you to your goals. I've been attending, 3 times per week or more, which is CRAZY, for more than a year. I've lost 50 or so pounds and gained a good amount of muscle and strength thanks to UFC Gym. I was pretty unhealthy and really wanted to give my family the best and healthiest years of my life! These guys made that happen! Thanks UFC Gym Chinook!

'UFC' can have a bit of a negative connotation behind what it represents (or so it did in my mind), but the UFC gym in Calgary does what they're doing so well that it blows that reputation out of the water. The facility is great and filled with welcoming, knowledgeable, and super hilarious coaches who make the experience so much fun. I've attended the boxing and kickboxing classes the most and they not only provide a wicked workout, but the coaches also take their time to teach you the technical aspects of the sport (this coming from a female newbie who knew nothing about throwing a proper punch or kick and desperately needed the help and direction). From the front-desk staff, to the other members, the coaches, the management, you'll always see a smile on people's faces - even between grimaces of pain from the tough workouts. It's nice that they offer free trials to try a class or a personal training session before committing - I definitely recommend checking it out!

Great facility with solid staff. The facility is clean with new equipment. The classes are tough enough that everyone gets a good workout and skill-based enough that you learn something new. As to the staff, I had an account issue which was handled promptly and professionally by the management. I highly recommend this gym.

I'd give no stars if that were an option. They're as shady as it gets. They advertised a $20 for 30 days promo on the day of Xwarrior. I had spoken to Cole and he guaranteed that it's for 30 days, no more, no less and I'm not signing a membership so I won't be bombarded by people trying to get money from me. He also said that he'll be sending me and the rest of the group I signed up with a confirmation in the next couple days because he didn't have the Ipads with the full forms on them. He did, however, send me an email with my information just so he has it written down and to confirm that I paid the $20 (cash). Fast forward a week later, Still no confirmation email. I called them numerous times to have it sent to me but I had gotten nothing. After 5 or so calls over the span of weeks, I called them to ask for my money back. I spoke to the manager and she said that they kept trying to send me the confirmation but it was bouncing back because they didn't know what email provider I was with (seriously? Then how did I receive that initial email with my info on it from Cole?). She said she'll send the money back via check in the mail but I have yet to receive anything. This morning, I received a call from a collector station that I owe dues for June and July (I have not signed anything. At all. No pen to paper). Keep in mind, I made sure not to give them any card information for this very reason because I was wary and expected something like this to happen. This place is a load of bull. Avoid at all costs.
