Have been going to this restaurant for more than a decade. Have never been disappointed with the service nor the quality of food at our table. It’s always cooked fresh and always tastes delicious. The helping size is big. They take only cash which I find they need to change. The owners are always there to help you select or suggest if you are not sure about any menu items. I love their hotpot dishes! pricing is also fair!
We had lunch in this restaurant and ordered Fried Lobster with Ginger and Green Onion and Braised Oxtail in Hot Pot. The lobster was finger licking good and the oxtail was tender and delicious. The price is very reasonable and the portions just right. Service is fast. Looking at their menu - there are so many other dishes to try that we will surely come back to this place. They only accept cash payment.
Rarely will I ever write a bad review but this restaurants service was very bad. Never had service like this ever before. We weren’t able to enjoy eating our dinner and to even sit comfortably. Right when we got seated we were hurried to order everything at once and was rushed to finish eating and leave the restaurant as soon as possible. Restaurant was not very clean and was super hot & humid as there was no ac, only a couple of fans blowing. The food was also mediocre. Quite oily and not as good as we were expecting or hoping for as we drove from Toronto to Mississauga to try this restaurant. The one star is because the food was cheap but other than that I would not recommend.
Just a solid Chiu Chow restaurant in the heart of Mississauga. Restaurant was packed on a weekday during lunch time. Food tasted nostalgic and exactly what you would expect. Service was fast and efficient. Standout is the congee with ample amount of dried oysters. The black pepper pig stomach soup was also yummy and warms you up on a cold day. Get there early to beat the rush!
After living in the area and shopping at this strip mall for decades my family and I tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We should have tried it long ago. Food is delicious, portions are big, and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend the lobster e-fu noodles, mixed veggies with mushroom and tofu, and the salty pork with broccoli. We had lots of leftovers to bring home for lunch the next day. Just make sure you bring cash to pay as they dont take credit cards. Easily our new go-to for authentic Chinese, both eat-in and take out!
Excellent tasty Chiu Chou food available at this small restaurant. This type of Chinese food is a little different from your typical Cantonese or Northern Chinese fare. Our favourite dishes is the pig stomach pepper soup and the clay pot rice.
Haven't had decent Chiu Chow cuisine in GTA for a while and this place definitely cures the craving. Overall great experience. Kinda wished the waitress told me they can speak Cantonese so I didn't need to use broken Mandarin.Food: 5/5
I must say this must be the best chiu chow restaurant in the GTA. It is very hard to find a good or even A restaurant specializing in chiu chow cuisine nowadays. The dishes are very authentic and just reminds me of the stuff I ate as a kid at former chiu chow restaurants in Toronto. Everything was just tasty and seasoned properly. Service was good and very attentive. Prices are reasonable as well. It’s definitely worth the trip to Mississauga.
For Chinese New Year: Radish Cake, Taro Cake, Water Chestnuts Cake and Glutinous Rice Cake are all excellent quality. Lots of ingredients, big pieces of dry shrimp, Chinese sausages, taro, etc.
We got Two Marinated Meats with Duck & Beef Shank, Minced Pork & Oyster w/ Rice in Soup, and Stir Fried Mix Veg w/ Shredded Squid. The Marinated Duck and Beef Shank were both so tender, flavourful, it had Marinated Tofu at the bottom as well, the Marinate they used were so well seasoned, gosh it was BOMB! Minced Pork & Oyster Rice in Soup was a Chiu Chow cuisine staple, it was like a Congee but the Rice was still in whole, it had Dried Fish, Minced Pork and chopped Oyster in it, we thought it was delicious but the size was a bit small considering it’s their large size. Stir Fried Mix Veg had Chinese Chives, crispy Fried Taro, Fried Tofu, Squid, it packed Wok Hey and so good as well!
