Delicious Uyghur cuisine served in comfortable surroundings. The beef noodle dishes are a must-try and there is a very diverse menu with options to suit all appetites. The lamb skewers are very tasty and can go as an appetizer to any meal. Definitely worth visiting if you're looking for Halal Uyghur food in the GTA!
Amazing food, and the service was wonderful. They gave us a few specials for iftar as well! This was our first time having Uyghur cuisine, and we loved the unique flavours.
I’ve been to Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China 3 times and really enjoyed the food there. Almost 10 years later yesterday the food at this restaurant dawns on me the taste of authentic Uyghur food. This is the best I’ve ever tasted in Mississauga.
Lamb kebab and Uyghur special beef noodles are just outstanding. Kebabs are well cooked, good selection of meet and fat on skewers. Noodles is spicy and flavorful with fresh veggies and lean beef strips. Friendly staff.
Very good, juicy, crispy outside full of taste lamp skewers kebab! The cucumber salad and spicey beef-onion dish are also very good and delicious. The fried spicey beef-onion is a very hot dish, so be careful if you are not of a hot meals fan! In-door eating room small but very friendly and welcoming staff. Prices are reasonable for the authentic meals.
Their lamb skewers are fantastic! a must have! They do it medium rare. The salt level is low but that's nothing a little salt shaker can't fix. Their pasta is good too, fyi it's quite al dente and thick like udon. The polov rice dish isn't for you if you're used to Indian/Pakistani style Biryani with spice and flavor explosions. But if you like extremely lightly seasoned rice dishes, then this is ok. Parking: It's in a single story plaza so parking is easy. Wheelchair accessibility: There's no wheelchair ramp in front of the restaurant but It's a single story plaza so there are lowered sections of the curb throughout the plaza.
Fabulous authentic Uyghur food, lovely decor, clean store and friendly staff. Had a variety of meals and all of them were fantastic. Looking forward to the next time I’ll be visiting this restaurant. Edit: we visited again recently Oct. 2022 and the quality of the food declined way too substantially. The kebabs were dry, the naan was stale, the noodles and veggies were undercooked and thick, and the food was way too spicy. I hope they fix their game as I’d love to see the way it was before.
Dropped by around 9pm as a pass-by. We only wanted something small and so we ordered the samsas and spicy jelly bean/cold jelly bean. The menu seems to have changed compared to the ones that can be found online as if you want to buy a samsa or kebabs, you aren’t able to order individually anymore, but would have to get as a portion of 4. As we didn’t have a large appetite, we asked if we could just get a small or single portion and the boss said we were able to get 2 instead of 4 for the price divided by 2. Also as the boss was talking to staff in the kitchen it turned out they didn’t have anymore ready made cold jelly and if they were to make it would take too long and it was already quite late. As an apology, the boss gave us a complimentary item. The overall experience was very pleasant and the samsa was delicious!!!! The lamb was super juicy and tender. I loved that there was a piece of lamb fat inside to balance out the lean to fat and the flavor is just very nostalgic to lamb kebabs I’ve had in China as there’d be at least one piece of lamb fat on there. Though of course this is the samsa instead. I would definitely go again and try more items!
Hidden gem in Mississauga! The food is extremely authentic, my friend and I shared a big chicken plate and not only did it taste amazing, the portion was also very generous! Their lamb dishes also looked amazing and I'm definitely going to be coming here again.
So we just picked up two plates of the lamb kababs and this is what a single plate looks like. They said it comes with a naan but believe me its like piece of naan so sharing the photo for a more realistic view. The photos show a full naan and we were expecting that. No sauce, salad or even tissue for the take away. The taste was good no doubt but this is for $16 a plate. We won’t be coming back.
