first time coming to “cafe tea era” and everything was delicious. We got the beef brisket with rice in curry sauce & the chicken chop and pork chop cutlet with black pepper sauce spaghetti & for dessert, the mini French toast. My favourite part was definitely the BIG meat portions. It was wonderfully cooked and seasoned as well. As for the mini French toast, it is covered in peanut butter and evaporated milk. It was the perfect sweetness, and I love the way they cut it into pieces before deep frying it. All the sides were so crispy which is different from many other restaurants that just cook the bread as a whole. Will be sure to come back soon to try their other items!! They also have bubble teas at the front if you just want to come in for a drink : Parking: Parking located at the back. Back entry available as well.
Priced reasonably with generous portion. On top of that, most menu item comes with a drink, hot or cold, And that's a bonus. Hainan chicken may not be the type we anticipated, but the rest were good. Can try their afternoon tea menu. Parking: There are reserved parking for other restaurants.
Ordered Hainan Chicken, Curry Beef Brisket & Fried Chicken and Pork Cutlet. Food and Service overall very good and seating area is small so there was a waitFood: 5/5
Stumbled upon this HK café while googling for a new restaurant to explore. Service was amazing - really set them apart from the other cafés. The food was decent and reasonably priced. I ordered the Striploin steak with omurice in black pepper sauce, but they could not make omurice at that time, so I opted for Sunnyside up. I was not given the option of how I like my steak done... and the striploin felt really tenderized. I'm not a fan of their drinks... milk tea tasted a bit too strong - slightly on the bitter side, and the instant coffee was meh. The place is smaller than the average HK café... expect a lot of noise when it's full house. I'm not sure if they have tables on the 2nd floor, when I went the stairs were closed off.
Very wholesome place for breakfast/lunch with good prices and service.
We had curry brisket rice which had a lot of tender tendons and it was tasty. We also had chicken fried rice with salted fish which was also good. The waiter and waitress were very nice and the service was good. As it is in an historical building, maybe the air conditioning wasn't enough on a bright sunny day, so we felt a bit warm towards the end of our lunch.
Food was mediocre and underwhelming. Nothing special. Had the pork cutlet rice with ketchup/tomato sauce and curry beef brisket rice. The taste was rather bland.Food: 3/5
Food is decent, pricing is reasonable $1-2 more per dish than other similar HK style cafe. The hot milk tea is very good. Overall, this restaurant isn't the best value for the money. I can think of 2 other cafes in the area within 10min drive with better quality food and more economical pricing. The best part of the entire meal is the HK style hot milk tea. The rest of the food is edible, although nothing remarkable.
Everything is fine, just a bit pricy on the food, more variety will be better!Food: 5/5
Lunch for two: pork cutlet and curry beef brisket. Food was very good, as was the hot drink. Only complaint was that acoustics was not great and it’s a bit noisy.Food: 5/5
