During a road trip in Kingston, we found this restaurant with a nice terrace where dogs are allowed. Dorrie, the manager and Sophie made our night so special. Thanks to them. We were able to eat while they were petting our standard poodle. Ambiance is super, terrace is heated and blankets are available. Food is great and several hot drinks are offered on the menu.Thank you for this wonderful evening.
Honestly, it doesn't matter if you come here for dinner or for brunch, you will thoroughly enjoy your meal. The quality of the food here is top notch and tasty. The dinner is excellent. Through multiple vists, I've had the chance to try many of their menu items, including the fried chicken sandwich, duck poutine, fried chicken pieces, mac and cheese, and eggplant dip. The duck poutine was my personal favourite, but all the dishes are flavoured excellently and will certainly leave you satisfied. That being said, the brunch is on an entirely other level. Whatever you do, make sure you get their home fries. They're insanely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They're the perfect encapsulation of what potatoes should taste like. Make it the side to your eggs benedict my go-to order here, and you'll fuel yourself well for the day ahead. The brunch here rivals Toast and Jam for best in the city. Oh and be sure to end your brunch with the French Toast. This is a spot that every Kingstonian has to cross off their list, and every visitor needs to try if they can. Patio, courtyard, staff & drinks wonderful! This was on a bride & groom’s recommendation list for attendees of their wedding. Madison & Matt did not disappoint. The most delicious sandwich, phenomenal espresso and refreshing mojito with the cutest little clothes peg holding the mint onto my glass. The bar is sexy!!! Sophie the bartender was my fave! Ten stars!
Service was amazing, very accommodating when I needed to delay my reservation three times. Waitress was patient and helpful. Food was great, some of the best food I've had in Kingston. New york strip was cooked perfectly mid rare, mussels and garlic shrimp were fresh.
The eggplant dip is killer, amazing smoky flavor. Falafel burger is as good as it gets for a falafel, excellent texture and flavour. Awesome take on the poutine with brie as well as a cognac infused jus. Excellent service to top it all off. Big thumbs up!
This place is very good. The food is delicious and the drinks are strong also they do give you a full glass, I just couldn’t stop myself from drinking some of the martini before taking a pic lol. The service is very friendly and the vibe is relaxed. It is a little pricy but worth it. Will definitely come back.
Nice pub. The overall waiters were so so. Except Ali our waitress who was amazing really. She really saved the night. The food is good as are drinks. A bit overpriced though. Nice decor and patio in the back.
MOUTHWATERING FOOD, really delicious cocktails and amazing staff! Thank you so much to Robyn for her incredible and helpful service. Loved the vegetarian options the fries and garlic aioli were to die for and couldn’t get over the chill vibe of the entire restaurant. Amazing location right downtown! Will absolutely be coming back again!
It’s been 2 days since I visited Black Dog Tavern and I still can’t get over the gluten free fried chicken! So much flavor! The service was also excellent. I can’t wait to go back.
Great space that's fun and visually interesting. Food was excellent, loved that the menu was on the smaller side... I got the beefeater sandwich and it was amazing. Fries are delicious as well! Our server was friendly and attentive. We were very happy with our experience. Just watch for mobility access, the bathroom is downstairs and it's a tough walk for those who have a harder time with stairs. Comes with being downtown Kingston, hard to get around that, but just wanted to note that for visitors.
