Kelseys Original Roadhouse

Pretty “meh” meal for me but I guess what you would expect from a chain-type restaurant. Not much curry flavour, zero spice, a lot of vegetables and very little chicken. It wasn’t bad by any means, it was just “meh.” Our server was very nice and patient as we had a little guy with us who made a mess, bonus points for that.

I was super excited to order my fav their balsamic chicken, my husband got the rib/wing combo and our daughters split a sirloin steak meal. It was so disappointing to say the least... Everything was burnt my chicken tasted so strongly of charcoal with barely any sauce, which was the entire reason for us ordering from Kelsey's, the steak was not medium rare and the veggies were barely steamed. The only thing I enjoyed was their broccoli cheddar soup which is always amazing. I don't normally complain but when I called their response was to just send out a voucher which I haven't received it yet but I doubt it comes close to the almost $100 we spent on inedible food. We usually love Kelsey's but we always go to Belleville location : Update: I received a prompt personal message from the restaurant apologizing for the food not being up to standards and asking for us to give them the chance to make it right on our next visit. It shows how much they value their customers opinions and our patronage. We will definitely be ordering again very soon and are looking forward to the amazing quality food that Kelsey's has always been known for.

Decided to do dinner with my 3 children before school starts they wanted to do the patio so decided on that. The hostess was super friendly and professional, pretty much immediately accommodated our patio request and we were seated. Our server was initially very friendly and got our drinks to us fairly quickly as well as our appie we ordered. The half nacho was great, lots of ingredients and cheese was melted to perfection. I had the spicy pineapple Paloma which unfortunately had been sloshed around during transport so 99% of the tajin rim was gone. That’s where our positive experience stopped. After receiving our drinks and appie we proceeded to wait an additional hour plus for our mains and our table was passed by multiple times, the server seeming to cater to the other tables that only had adults in their parties. Forgot the water my daughter had asked for and never expressed any concern or touched based on how long our food was taking. Our food finally arrived and my middle daughter and oldest complained about their hot dog and veggie burger being cold but ate it anyway. My broccoli cheddar soup was also not even hot enough to melt the shredded cheese in it. I had ordered a side of sweet potato fries as they were out of the loaded fries and our server recommended them as an alternative. I ate one and it clearly wasn’t cooked as it was still hard not soft. We ate quickly as we just wanted to leave, had planned on getting desert but decided as a group to go elsewhere. The server didn’t even ask why I hadn’t touched the sweet potato fries and at 5$ for a handful that seems like an oversight on his part. We settled up and headed elsewhere for dessert, it had only been about 30 minutes since we’d left. The dessert had just arrived and my oldest rushed to the toilet and proceeded to feel/get ill. There’s no question it was food poisoning and I’m extremely confused as to exactly how that happened as she ate a veggie burger. Anyway, very disappointed I wasted money on this establishment and disheartening to see the lack of care on their employees part, questioning their food handling practices as well obviously. Won’t be back.

Food was pretty average but service was great. I had a cheese dip and a little salad. Could have used a bit more salad dressing but all in all not bad

Very prompt courteous service. Prices are a wee bit on the high side. Food piping hot and tasty.

Nice location in Kingston. Very festive on the outside to draw you in. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Place was quarter full at lunch, service was ok. They have a nice selection on the menu, food quality is good. The place is neat and tidy. I'd repeat coming back.

Place is nicely renovated and service was decent. However, food is the only thing you actually do there and it was adequate at best. Dry, unexciting and zero presentation... really disappointing. They should understand that we are going out to treat ourselves and what $20-$25 each got us, was what I would consider equal to leftovers from my fridge that I heated in the microwave. It was the day after our wedding and we were just looking to wind down and enjoy a late lunch together. Oh well...our mistake.

Absolutely the worst meal we have ever experienced. The worst service. It took half an hour for the appetizer to come. Spinach dip. It was barely warm. Another half an hour for our food to arrive - it was barely warm. We asked for hot fries to replace the cold ones. The chicken fingers were barely warm. The cheese on the burger had zero melt to it. The ribs were dry and boring. The waitress had some kind of an attitude on and never apologized for slow service or food delivery or cold fries. Nor ever cracked a smile. There was clearly something going on somewhere. The waiters looked unprofessional - with sloppy shirts like they had been pulled off other duties. We will never eat here again ! That pitiful experience cost us $89.—!

Went to Kelseys for dinner with three friends before a movie. Food took a while to be ready and there was a small mistake in one order but it was all made up for by the waitress. Hailey hope I spelled that right was absolutely incredible, fast, and hilarious. Best service I've had in years. Definitely will come back again when the opportunity arises.

Had some really great honey garlic chicken wings and the buffalo loaded potato skin appetizer was also really good! The staff were nice and friendly. Had the iced tea alcoholic beverage which was also really good.Recommended dishesOriginal Wings, Onion Rings
