This restaurant had the best lobster roll ever!!! We were on a cruise and I asked our dining room waiters where to go for good food in Bar Harbor and they recommended this restaurant and showed me photos. It was a nice walk down the Main Street from the pier and we weren’t disappointed when we got there. The roll was huge and loaded with lobster that was sweet and tender. My husband had chowder that was delicious. I would definitely recommend it all and want to return. You can dine inside or out on the patio. Excellent service.
My daughter and I stopped in to this restaurant our first night in Bar Harbor. I wanted a lobster roll, she wanted mussels - and this spot did not disappoint! We sat outside; there was no wait which honestly made me nervous the food wasn’t going to be good! The waitress was attentive and very friendly; the food was amazing! We also HAD to have the blueberry pie when in Maine…; also delicious! We would definitely go back; the other diners were so pleasant and it really made our first evening in town!
You need to try this woman owned restaurant! All of our food was delicious, we ordered a lobster roll, crab roll, fried pickles, blueberry pie, and whoppie pies! My favorite thing was the lobster roll sampler, it was 4 mini lobster rolls served four different ways! Please give this restaurant your patience with the service, they were very short staff like most other places and were doing the best they could!
Food was overall great. Waitress was a little bland, seemed to be having a bad day which precipitated unwelcoming vibes. But anywho, the lobster was great, lobster rolls were great and the Mac and cheese was ooooooooo so freaking good. I was disappointed in the fried pickles. Don't waste your money on it. Way over fried where the batter turns to crunchy dust and you have NO pickles on the instead. Just the skin remnants.
Delicious lobster rolls - I had the roll con Crema and my husband had the butter poached, both were very delicious and fresh tasting! Service was quick, and the inside and patio were very nice. Clean bathrooms as well. Worth a visit if you're in the area! Not sure if cruises will continue to stop here, but it was a short walk from the pier!
Came here Saturday for a late lunch and there was a bit of a wait—it’s a casual spot, with picnic tables outside if you are lucky to get one. It seems a bit understaff, possibly only 1 server outside and the hostess. Food was okay—was not too wow’d with the food. The Butter Poached Lobster Roll $25 was good, with lots of lobster meat. The Twin Lobster Special two whole lobsters was $50—a bit pricey for just steamed lobsters, but they were okay, nothing special about it. Others in my party tried the Lobster Roll Sampler Platter and weren’t too thrilled with it. They also forgot my Fries, so I had to flag the server about it.
9/24/21 - It was a nice day... Hiking in Acadia followed up with dinner at Bar Harbor Lobster Company. Nice restaurant for lobster and seafood. There is plenty of seating outside and inside. It wasn't crowded when we arrived Friday at 5pm so we chose to dine inside. We ordered the steamer clams, surf n' turf, and the fried clam basket. Everything was delicious. The surf n' turf is a neat combination...think hamburger topped with lobster. The staff was friendly and attentive. Not sure if there is a parking lot but we parked on the street. We will return the next time we are in the area.
Delicious whole lobster meal and enjoyed the fried pickles too. Would definitely go back. Pretty quiet on a Thursday evening and staff was attentive and service was quick. Was a bit later so glad for the heat lamps which made it delightful to sit outside.
Restaurant opened at 3 pm the day we were there. There was already a line at 2:30. There are lots of seating outside. We sat outside and ordered lobsters. We each got a bib and we enjoyed the lobsters. It was tasty. Service could be a bit better but maybe they were a little short staffed.
Lobsters at this restaurant were so fresh and tender that I ever have had. You have to find the restaurant Bur Harbor Lobster $36. The prices were $20.00 cheaper than place in the main drag $61.Food: 4/5
