Good lunch spot. Pizza was a bit burnt on the bottom on like 1/2 of it. But it was still tasty. Lobster roll was delicious. We had someone recommend the blueberry beers in the area & the one we got was a good beer but nothing blueberry about it.
Enjoyed a nice lunch today Sunday July 24th. My wife and two of my daughters. Food was great, service was pretty good as well. Parking.. We were lucky with parking. Circle the green top look for spots. Drinks were very tasty. Atmosphere was very nice as well. Seemed popular! So many stores nearby to shop in.
We ate at a lot of places on our 6 day visit to Bar Harbor, and this place took 1st place for us. Everything we had was absolutely amazing! We started with the crab cakes as an app. I had the Lobster and Scallop Risotto and my husband had the Mojo Chicken. Both were excellent! The staff was also wonderful and polite. We were at the bar waiting for our table and girl was very attentive. Overall a great experience and a must do for dinner while in Bar Harbor.
They let us bring our dog onto the enclosed patio. He was happy to curl up at my feet. My husband had the bacon wrapped meatloaf. It was outstanding. I had the Mac and cheese with lobster . It was to die for. I have food allergies and they went above and beyond to be sure my food was safe. On top of safe it was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make our evening special. The craft beers were great as well. We can not wait for our next trip to this part of the world. Kid-friendliness: There were several families with small children. Dietary restrictions: They make it from scratch. They went as far as letting me read the recipe. It was a 1st.
Wow! If you're thinking about going to Blaze please just go. The food was so amazing that I was mad I went somewhere else the night before for dinner. The price was fair, the service was great shout out to you, Casey, and the food was farm they operate 2 or 3 farms to table fresh. When you go, do your best to get a reservation because they were full on off season that's how great the food is. Blaze is 6 hours away from home but best believe I'm coming back for that mac and cheese. I miss it already I'm telling everyone and they momma to go and when they do they better bring me leftovers Do yourself a favor and eat at Blaze!
Maybe some of the other food at this restaurant taste amazing, but I don’t recommend the Wood-Grilled Fruits De Mer for Two, this thing cost me $130 and it’s not worth it in my opinion. Some of the oysters and mussels taste funny, the crab clawcould be frozen are tasteless. Not to mention the lobster is definitely not a 2 pound. We had a 2 pound lobster at Portland the day before, the size of the lobster that was served today looks like a baby compare to the one we ate earlier. Clams is the only one that taste good, but overall I felt like getting ripped off with the quality of the food they served us today. 2 stars for the service, 0 for the food
We loved the pizza and cocktails at Blaze and had excellent service. Especially considering its close proximity to downtown Bar Harbor, the prices were very reasonable. We wanted to return during our short trip but had to force ourselves to branch out - it’s that good!
I rarely leave reviews on google. Either it’s very good or very bad. Last time I did was for an amazing restaurant. This time is the opposite. We walked in the restaurant around 8:30pm, ended up waiting for 50mins for our food. So if you are hungry or just finished the hike of the day, don’t come here. The service was not too bad. The waiter was nice. But the food quality and price were…… the one we ordered was basically a seafood platter wood grill fruit for two, supposed to be 2lb lobster, mussels,clam, scallops etc. first I am not sure it’s the real quantity as it described. I uploaded the photo. Second, basically everything was dry and no tastemaybe that’s the wood grill taste supposed to be? .third, it is “market price” which is $138 before tax for this plate. So, if you want to wait for 50mins to eat a plate of no taste and dry seafood and pay $138, I think it is a great place!
First they made a comment about me taking a table 4 seats, since I was dining alone. The staff seemed more interested in hanging out in the kitchen vs waiting on customers. I asked to substitute a cheese on the veg fire roasted pizza. Guess they forgot because the cheese was cold vs melted on the pizza when it came out to the table.
Burgers? Pizza?? No, no, no... We went there for a WOOD-GRILLED SEAFOOD FEAST!!! The photo speaks for itself, but I'll tell you what's in it: 2 entire lobsters, sea scallops, littleneck clams, mussels, oysters, crab claws, shrimp, roasted potatoes, corn on the cob and asparagus! This was already 4 years ago but I remember it like if it was yesterday. Everything was amazing, perfectly cooked, super fresh seafood, and to finish, the best blueberry pie I've ever had!
