Incorporated in 1975, Audreys Books Ltd. traces its roots to Mel Hurtig's first bookstore, opened in 1956. Audreys celebrates this link to the past by providing an inviting environment that welcomes the city's literary community.

Story

Located in the historic MacLean Block, Audreys Books is situated in downtown Edmonton on 107 Street and Jasper Avenue. We are proud to employ a staff of knowledgeable and dedicated individuals who are happy to offer expert, personalized service. We offer great value like 25% off on all Globe & Mail bestsellers everyday, special offers and savings for our Audreys Book Club members and our permanent "lemon-ade stand" on our lower level, where you're sure to find great bargains on all sorts of books.

Mission

Our Objective: To support Canadian writers by offering an excellent book selection and by providing a suitable environment for the local literary experience, while ensuring the existence of a professional practical alternative to national retailers. Through numerous in-store readings and literary events, and by frequently hosting authors in other Edmonton community locations, we are continually creating venues that connect visiting writers with readers and book lovers.
