University of Alberta Bookstore

Overpriced, poor organization (alphabetically, not by course, which means you have to look all over the store) and frequently out of stock (or sometimes their stock doesn't arrive until a month after the course begins... They were out of a required book for one of my courses and told me I would have to buy it elsewhere because they weren't reordering it. THEY CAN'T EVEN SUPPLY REQUIRED MATERIAL. Don't waste your time and money, buy used, buy on amazon, just buy anywhere but here.

Good bookstore, lots of variety and stationary, and varsity garb. It is a bit overpriced in some aspects, but when you're in a rush you can usually find what youre looking for. Staff is usually helpful, but sometimes can be rude.

Overpriced, Please don't buy anything from this store. They will just rap you out.

Nice staff. Everything is rather expensive. But the general selection and layout is nice.

DON"T BUY FROM BOOKSTORE! ... until you check for availability online. Lots of listings are available online straight from the publisher. Often, they will send you brand new copies with a discount and free shipping. On the other hand, the bookstore adds around 5% to the list price and does not include free shipping. And this is just brand new books... If you want to purchase used texts, you'd get much better deals if you check online first. There really is no reason to buy books above list price when you can get many of them for less straight from the publisher. When I first went to university I had this notion that books were "supposed" to be bought from the university bookstore. BIG MISTAKE!
