Access Storage - Edmonton North West

24 hour access is nice. You get charged every 4 WEEKS, NOT PER MONTH, so It's a money grab plus your payment schedule is all over the place. Prices are a bit high also. Glad to have a place to store my stuff, but every 4 WEEKS instead of monthly shows that the owner is in it for his or her self and not for the customer. Also a fee of 25$ for paperwork before you even open your account. Yikes!! Friendly staff most of the time.

These people are friendly in the beginning very thourogh to rent here but after you jump through the hoops its a good place but don run into arrears the email text and call twice aday each thing everyday to remind your late then gouge gouge gouge late fees everycouple days read fine print with this place

They were great to deal with when signing up and moving items in for storage. Not so great once the problems started. Save your money, find a different company. Short version: - unit broken into, no follow-up after an initial phone call attempt to contact me. - sent them list of items, didn't say that their insurance company needed their own form completed. - Told them to reset my access code for security purposes - never did. They even gave me a new code - that they never activated! - Took three phone calls to get contact info for the insurance company and had to work with the insurance company to process the claim. They didn't tell me I was responsible for pursuing the claim. - Did nothing to assist with the claim process or compensate for the time loss on my part. Didn't reduce my unit rental, didn't cover the insurance deductible, nothing. Longer version: My unit got broken into (I'm sure with a number of other ones). The only action they took to inform me was two phonecalls and a voicemail on the day they noticed my unit was missing a lock, saying to call them back. No email, no follow-up phone call. I actually found out through the RCMP. I asked for a new access code for security purposes, they said they deactivated my old one and wrote a new code for me. Turns out they never activated that code, despite giving me a number, so I had problems accessing my unit after that. Told me to send them a list of items stolen in the break-in and they would send that to the insurance company - I purchased their insurance rather than get my own policy with a different insurer. Didn't mention that the insurance company requires their own form filled out, and didn't provide contact information for the insurance company. Every indication was that they would handle the insurance process and I'd just have to tell the insurance company where to send the cheque once the claim was processed. Took three phone calls to get contact information for the insurance company, which then said I needed to fill out THEIR form in order for the claim to start processing. I found this out over a month after the break-in happened! The company didn't reduce my unit rental, cover the insurance deductible, or offer any other kind of compensation for dealing with the break-in. They have been less than helpful. Definitely would not recommend this company, especially this location. Save your money, find a more secure storage facility!

The staff seemed nice until I had my locker broken into. Anything of value was stolen or broken. The worst part is that I did not have pictures or documents of everything that was stolen. It is now a month and half since, and I have yet to hear from an insurance company. I have lost thousands of dollars and even though there is a video of the perps loading their truck with my stuff, I doubt I will ever see anything. I am just disgusted with the whole process. Lesson: get your own insurance. Have pictures and document everything. Rent from a secure place. Ask for proof that they have never been broken into before. Update: It is now 3 months since my locker was broken into and stuff stolen and destroyed. Still have not heard anything from their insurance, or from their staff. I feel violated and scammed.
