Yin Sushi Market

This place makes one of my favourite spicy salmon rolls, the rolls are nicely made with nice looking garnishes. They also sell a variety of frozen premium Japanese ingredients and a small selection of imported snacks and condiments. The pricing is a bit on the higher side but things are nicely done. I give them 7.5/10!

We ordered the roll combo B red,green and black dragon , Sakura roll, salad roll and sashimi combo 5 mix. The sushi was fresh but a bit on the pricier side. I do wish the rolls and sashimi pieces were a bit bigger/thicker. However, I do love that there’s a lot attention to detail to the presentation of the rolls!

We did take out. Their food is incredible to look at and the quality, is pretty top notch. They are quite pricey, but in a way you pay for what you get. My fav in the platters were the scallops they had lime wedges in between the pieces and it added some nice depth and the torched salmon sushi although it is very heavy as they really squish the rice into blocks.

We enjoyed their food in this order, and the lady was very patient to explain special orders for customers’ requests. Two things I would suggest as improvement is to have the seaweed less salty and the BBQ pork not too dry.

Definitely on the pricier end when it comes to your typical sushi spot. I only tried this place just because the other sushi options were closed. I had the poke bowl and it was a good amount for the price. There's a 5% cash discount which is quite laughable as most places do 10% at a MINIMUM. Although the poke bowl was good, my husband and I were confused as to why there were dorito nachos in our bowls...

Hidden gem in Markham. Great standard offerings, of course, but the star here is the Bara Chirashi Don. Fresh, top quality ingredients, excellent variety of fish, impeccable craftsmanship and presentation. On the pricier side, but you get what you pay for.

Wow total 5 stars ... talk about a hidden gem ... super well priced for extremely high quality and super authentic Japanese food .. highly recommended ... the craftsmanship of the food and the presentation is totally 5 stars and the food quality and taste is completely underrated ... this is kinda like a Japanese market, they don’t have a lot of goods - the main focus is their food and takeout and the goodies in the fridge - I had the marinated conch and it was mind blowing!! Must try and definitely will come back again

If you don’t have uni, say so when customer orders. Pay $128 for bara don because it has uni, otherwise I would just order chirashi don for 1/3 of the price. The restaurant didn’t even inform us, they simply replace uni with sweet shrimp and tuna. After more than 30mins of waiting, I’m very disappointed. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

Ordered assorted sashimi price was $26, the sashimi are on point fresh, love they have different varieties will be returning soon !!!
