My family has been eating here frequently for the past few years. The quality and taste of the food are very consistent and delicious. We especially enjoy the hand rolls. The environment is pleasant, along with friendly and welcoming staff.
Great friendly service, good food and wide selection. Really enjoyed the meal and experience since the pandemic. Tables of people were space out widely, comfortably. They do add a 10% service charge but it's right on the order sheet so it's not a surprise. The wait staff are attentive so it's worth it. If you pay by cash there's a 10% discount. Oct 2022 update: standards for the food and service are maintained. Recommend coming here for ayce Japanese food.
Pretty good AYCE experience with tasty food. You order through a QR code menu now but like other reviewers, some food did not arrive but only near the end of the meal so I assume they are worried about food waste. In our case, we were quite glad it didn't come but understandably it would be frustrating if that happened earlier in our meal. There is quite a large menu and more unique weekend only items. The hot food was hot, and not too much rice in the rolls, though I wish their rolls came in smaller sizes/less pieces. It's rather pricey but I think it's on par with other AYCE restaurants these days.
Below average food that would not impress anyone. The sushi is probably acceptable back in the 90s. Price is pretty much the same as most other ayce sushi places. Aside from location, there is really no reason to come here.
Extremely PUNGENT FISHY smelling to the point where it triggers my gag reflex to smell it. I have never smelled such pungent fishy smelling sushi. This fish is definitely very bad quality and past the best before date to eat as sashimi. Even when I purchase salmon to cook from a supermarket it never smells this fishy and pungent! Fresh fish is not supposed to have a fishy smell. This was a takeout order. Immediately after ordering and arriving at home 15 minutes, we opened the bag of food and a strong unpleasant fishy aroma was present. The containers were visibly fully covered in oily finger prints assuming this is from touching the fish, because they smelled bad. Even the overly vinegary rice is pungently fishy. I assume the rice was overly vinegary to counter the fishiness, but it couldn't cover the pungent smell or taste. Reluctantly I did try a piece of sashimi and had to spit it out as soon as I bit into it and chewed because it's even more intense and disgustingly fishy and pungent in taste to the point where your body starts to activate it's gag reflex and I don't even have one! I am so surprised because the reviews are good so we decided to try this place for the first time. I don't know if this is an exception but you will definitely get severe food poisoning eating raw fish with such a horrible pungent stench. This was a waste of money and time because we could not eat this food at all. If you're thinking of trying this place for sushi, I do NOT recommend it.
I have noticed Yangs Sushi while driving in Markham and hear good things about their all you can eat buffet. I was ready for some mouth watering food and wasn't disappointed. You can now eat inside the restaurant provided you show your government identification and proof you have had both of your covid vaccine shots. The ordering process is all done electronically from your phone. Albeit it is hard to know exactly how big the portions will be so I ordered conservatively. I was smart to do that since the made to order portions were of good size. The food tasted great and I enjoyed it. The service was good as well. Hope you like it too. If you like sushi and my review, photos or videos give a big yang thumbs up
Group of 3 on a Friday evening at 6 pm. The evening rush came about an hour after we arrived. There’s not a lot of AYCE sushi places near where we live, so we took a chance on this place despite the mixed reviews. Food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. Service was great; they came when we needed them and didn’t hover around unnecessarily. Despite it getting busier later in the evening, I didn’t feel like we got rushed to leave. The menu is online and one person at the table is in charge of ordering online with their phone. I wish there were pictures and descriptions of the items on their very long menu but whatever. We ordered what sounded good and were happy with everything we got. People who complained about the 10% service charge - what do you normally tip your servers??? We tipped on top of that. If you’re going to complain about 10%, maybe you shouldn’t eat out. Just saying…
I haven’t been here for a long time , they are very busy here, service is great , fast and efficient! The server’s are very kind and helpful, price is about the same everywhere for all you can eat, sashimi is very fresh!
AYCE decent. Food was pretty good. Good selection. Service was fast and efficient. Update: first time back since pandemic. Looks like they have renovated. Found the AYCE pretty good quality. Can now order online. Decent service.
5 star for the food. 2 star for the service. They have a wide variety of food and it's freshly made bit the service was slow. And they added 10% automatically with the bill.
