Umai Sushi

Our new go-to takeout place! The fish was fresh, the variety was better than many other places we've been going to for years, and it all tasted great. The couple was very polite and they texted me when the order was ready we pre-ordered. Cash/debit only, so be aware of that if you're ordering platters. Oh, and they actually mix their own soy sauce instead of giving you the packets so it tastes proper. Honestly, I'm so extraordinarily pleased to have found this gem.

My family's been here a few times and it's always really good. They don't have a huge selection of fish but the quality and appearance are always excellent. I also love their rolls. They are on the smaller side which is perfect for eating in one bite. The owners/chef are also very polite and courteous and speak Cantonese

This place is so underrated and everyone needs to check it out!! Their assorted sushi and rolls platter is so good and we get it every time. The price is reasonable and the quality of the fish is top-notch. You can taste the difference in quality. The salmon and tuna just melts in the mouth. Skip the dish often has deals here, and we’ve gotten a side spicy salmon rolls with the platter order before. It is located on the second floor of Langham Square at the back of the left most aisle. Got a medium 60pc assorted platter which was ready in half hour and had a good variety of fish. This is a hidden mom and pop shop in the far left corner of the 2nd floor of Langham Square. The fish was fresh and prepared well. Really nice people and good prices.Food: 4/5

Craving for Sushi and sashimi tonight. Found this place nearby on Google Maps. Ordered a large mixed party tray with sashimi and sushi. Surprised how good the specialty sushi roll and sashimi were. Only thing was their ETA was off by 15mins. I'll just come later next time Cost: $96 Highly recommend.

This sushi place is run by a nice couple. I like coming here for their salmon poke bowls which comes with fresh salmon and assorted vegetables. The chef torches the top of the salmon giving the poke bowl a nice aroma and taste so I love coming back for it : I've also tried their sushi rolls which are super soft and tasty. I would definitely recommend the golden dragon, it's very delicious and you don't want to miss out on it. The chef is very nice and was accommodating to my requests. They are also the only sushi place in that plaza that has handrolls on the menu.

After reading the other review, I was a bit worried. But it turned out to be pretty tasty! The fish is quite fresh, and they also give you their own soy sauce not the pack one. I’m not a big fan of salmon, but with their soy sauce, it actually enhances the favour of the fish. I’ll want to try their sushi next time

This place is tucked away at the back corner of the mall close to the gym in the t&t plaza. I ordered the small sushi, sashimi, and roll platter and paid $38 after taxes and 90% cash discount. Fish tasted good and had no odd tastes and roll selection was solid as well. Compared to Kamikaze a couple units down, I think I prefer this spot. Overall good sushi for a fair price. Will be back to try their $14 chirashi don.

It was my first time here today, I am very impressed with the quality. It was a bit of a wait but to be honest it just shows that they put extra care in each of their dishes. Their volcano roll is really good and the Wasabi actually had taste and the texture wasn't runny. The fish they used seemed fresh it didn't have any weird odors or that extra fishy taste. Also, I noticed they had some spicey aspect to the volcano roll. It made it so much better! All the other sushi places I've been to have rolls that are "spicey" when in fact they are not. This place is a true gem and when I am back in the area I will come again.

Really bad quality fish. Worst ive had to be honest. Budget sushi is so much better. I don't even know how it can be this bad. It also took them so long to prep my order. Like an hour! And the crab salad is sweet and a very odd flavor. Even the wasabi was old looking. It looks like wasabi I leave in the fridge for a week! Really disappointed with this.
