The stores layout is pretty good, especially compared to all of the other Whole Foods in the metro Detroit area which are horrible, but the hot/cold food bar is pretty bad. The options are not good. I specifically go to Whole Foods to have lunch or dinner and shop. It's something I enjoy and if the prepared food sucks, I don't go. So, I've stopped going to Whole Foods in Michigan because each Whole Foods is severely disappointing. The whole point of this chain and why it's overpriced is to have a GREAT experience. You people in Michigan have no idea what you're doing. You don't cater to healthy eaters, you don't cater to clean eaters and you don't cater to people who need gluten free or dairy free options. It's pathetic, all you have to do is replicate a GREAT Whole Foods in a different state and boom, you're done. You don't even have to think that much, yet Michiganders screw this easy task up. Look at Charlotte, NC (South Park), look at Miami's Whole Foods in the finance district. These are GREAT, anything less isn't even an option.

These guys really know their stuff. If they have it they know about it, if they don't they will tell you where to get it. Prices have slightly improved since Amazon took them over. I'm a big fan of shopping here again. Fresh meats with knowledgeable butchers. Gigantic wine and cheese selection for a store this size. Fresh Ready-to-Eat food. A serving area within the store with 12 beers on tap. It's really hard to be all that.

Great supermarket chain with a long salad-hot meal bar. Recently the hot bar doesn't have too much meat options but lot of side dishes. Big area for prepared meals. Prices are decent for the quality. Affordable pastries and pretty good deals on macaronis and other some seasonal desserts. They also have tasty beer from the tap just right there besides the eating area! Definitively, kid and family friendly.

Clean store, courteous staff, tons of ready to eat options and food bars (soup, salads, sandwiches, snacks, sushi, meals). Even the prepackaged deli lunches and dinners were fresh with awesome ingredients. Bakery has a wide selection of not only whole baked goods but individual servings as well. Really great when on the go - I stopped here to get a break from hospital and grab some real food.
