My first time trying white spot, believe it or not!nMy friend and I had a great time, we’ve been welcome with smiles and warmth then we choose our spot, decided to get outside and it was lovely. Our server was literally the nicest ever and helped me kindly but surely to enjoy as much as I could my dishes. He was a real professional, and if you read this lines I personally thank you again, I should have ask your name. I got myself the sweet potatoes fries, I was craving for those since a while, they were delicious then I got the tomatoes and spinach benny because Benny are a must to get, I added an extra bacon with it. It was really good. And to harmonized my lunch, I finished with the salted caramel milkshake… I was full and my heart soothed. Thank you
This quaint eatery nestled in the bustling Westside of Vancouver is a breakfast haven with a myriad of delectable options that are both satisfying and beautifully presented. The portions are generous, ensuring you start your day fully energized. What stands out is the freshness of the ingredients; each dish bursts with flavor, indicative of their commitment to quality.nnParking is a breeze, which is a pleasant surprise for the area, eliminating any hassle before your meal. The restaurant’s layout includes a charming outdoor section, perfect for those who appreciate dining al fresco. It’s a serene spot that offers a slice of privacy in the open air.nnThe winters here are made comfortable with the thoughtful addition of heating lamps, creating a warm oasis amidst the chilly weather. Natural light floods the area, making it an inviting place to linger over a meal.nnAn added perk is the unlimited coffee refills, a gesture that coffee aficionados will certainly value. This isn't just a meal; it's an experience—a place where the food, atmosphere, and friendly service intertwine to create a memorable dining adventure. It’s no wonder this spot is a local gem for brunch enthusiasts.
Okay, so first time here and my friends said it's awesome. We luckily got here for happy hour. So, we got a bunch of different dishes, so let me review.nI did not try the impossible burger and Cobb Salad, but from my friends, it wasn't anything special.nnPros on food:nThe Fish Haddock Burger with ceasarnMediocre and honestly the coleslaw flavor neutralized whatever fish flavor there was. The crispiness was on point, but having jo flavor really shine through this burger, I was left sad and feeling like I had a fish filler at McDonalds. The ceasar was the most disappointing salad I've had. So I started nibbling on my friends dishes.nnPrawn Spinach and Mushroom Fettuccine:nDry. More like a dry pasta salad with some shrimp. The prawn was decently cooked, but once you're done with them and left with the rest, it's exhaustivdly dry. She's didn't even finish her dish, just a few nibbles that's it and left the bowl full.nnFries:nAveragennOkay so let's be real, I just ate at a burger style Denny's. Price was moderately higher for this quality of a meal. I'd rather stick to my more trusted restaurants.nnWorth it, if you're hungry it's a fun place and service was spectacular. Our waiter deserves a raise and the speed of food to table was nice. But quality of dishes, 3 stars. Sorry supporters of White Spot.
I’ve not been to White Castle since 1965 when it was a drive in only burgers and fries joint. The dining room and expanded menu are a very pleasant surprise.nThe legendary burger was just a burger then, but it has since become legendary and is still as delicious as I remember. The fries are very good and the coleslaw is wonderfully sublime. I’m told that the perogies are quite tasty.
Dined during happy hour and had the Humboldt squid appetizer savings of $4 and Caesar salad. It was a satisfying portion for lunch. The squid batter was crispy and came with lots of Tzatziki presented on the plate versus in a side container. At a regular price of $16, I would have expected more squid but it was reasonable for $12. Service was adequate and friendly! White Spot continues to be a favourite spot for comfort food. We are disappointed that they no longer have a seniors menu, although our server did say a couple of items like the fish and chips can be made in a smaller portion.
