This place is great. The food and service is top notch. One time the owner asked my table how the food was and I said the special actually wasn't as good as normal. He promptly went to the back and gave me a $35 voucher for the next time I came. That's great service. Note reservations is highly recommended. The place is small.

Salmon and Bannock had been on my to go list since they opened. Our meal tasted like nothing we had in this city before. It was fresh, tasty, original, and was more than just food. I try to support sustainable local foods and this place gives you just that. I had an amazing meal and the service was very good. We got taken care of like family. There was quite a few different dessert to choose from at the end of the meal. The use of local berries on cheesecake built in a jar was just amazing.

As a public health professor from Toronto I am very fortunate to have Indigenous colleagues and students who have taught me about the people of our Land and the culture. Salmon n' Bannock is the restaurant sharing many foods of Indigenous roots that are being cultivated and cooked with love by Indigenous people of Vancouver Island. The wild salmon, sea asparagus, wild rice, along with bannock were all locally sourced and was amazing. The best salmon I have eaten was here. What I also loved is the restaurant has an incredible atmosphere with an open kitchen. The traditional Indigenous art and music brings a spiritual and positive energy to all of us while dining. The owners and staff were very welcoming and enjoyed learning the history of the Indigenous foods in the menu. I will definitely come to this restaurant every time I visit Vancouver in my life. I hope to see more Indigenous restaurants across Canada in every neighbourhood. Thank you.

This place is a complete gem, they give fantastic service and are always so welcoming. Salmon n' Bannock looks and feels like you're in top tier dining and yet you feel so welcome, it's like going to a friend's house. They serve traditional food with roots deep in Canadian history, so if you want to try delicious food that you likely haven't tasted before, I'd definitely recommend Salmon n' Bannock.

I am from Manitoba and it’s always been on my bucket list to come eat here since it opened. I must say I was very impressed I really don’t get fresh salmon it’s not my favorite but when Inez served me salmon soup it was amazing! My spouse and I were spoiled by Inez We tried oolichans delicious! had bannock and then had Bison Ribs and Elk Roast everything was delicious was so full I saved my bannock n had it at my stop over on my way home the next day ate it in Calgary at the airport! I visited in November but kept forgetting to post my experience there I try tell anyone that is traveling to Vancouver to go there and eat it’s worth the trip 😌
