Went for a birthday dinner without a reservation, but they were happy to accommodate, and we got a great window seat. Attentive service and atmospheric low lighting - lovely! Can recommend the lasagna and the gnocchi - both were very good. The lasagna sauce was well-blended, not too cheesy, and nice and dense and filling. Prices are moderate - the mains $17 - $30 and well worth it. And your doggy bag comes in very nice, heavy, white cloth stencilled in black print suitable for keeping and using over and over again as a small grocery bag - this restaurant is a keeper.

Food was good but the conditions of the restaurant were not clean. A bus boy, who came out of the bathroom and urine soaked floor proceeded toward my booth where my wife witnessed him climbing up on top of the booth seat, stepping on a pile of menus to grab a bottle of wine. In shock, she requested to talk to the manager. He told her that is the way they have get their wine. He then, in mid conversation, left our table. It was clear this was not a concern of his. Unless anyone is will to wipe your hand on the bottom anyone’s shoes, most would know that, beyond it being gross It is unsanitary. I will contact Vancouver coastal health and will never eat there again

There are just not enough good Italian restaurants in Vancouver. This is one of the best and we don't get there often enough. Yesterday we stopped in for lunch before heading to the Fifth Avenue for a movie. We shared spaghetti and meatballs (added two extra meatballs for the share), along with a red wine and a white (house), coffee and a creme brulet for dessert. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, first rate food.

I picked the place because I read it was vegetarian/vegan friendly, but it's not. There are only a few vegetarian options and zero vegan option. The waiter was a bit rude and lectured me on the importance of cheese. The food was mostly good, but my husband's pasta was not fully cooked and hard to chew. It presents itself and is priced like a nice place for romantic night out, but it's a family restaurant with many small children. I wouldn't recommend it for a nice night out. It's okay for family dinner if you don't mind the price.

We went there on a Friday night with a girl friend to have a quick good dinner before the movie starts in 5th ave cineplex. Although it was a very busy night there but they got us seated very quickly and organized. We had one of the best servers, he seemed to be serious at first but he had a great sense of humor, was very friendly and helpful. I really loved what I ordered. In overall, it's a dark cozy yet spacious place, I can call it romantic and moderately expensive restaurant.
