Waka Sushi

Our first time to visit but definitely not the last. Everything was super fresh, very tasty, colorful and served by the most attentive staff we’ve experienced in quite some time. The price was very reasonable and the portions were more than adequate. Easy place to find and park. Next time we’re in the Vancouver area Waka Sushi will more assuredly be on the agenda. Highly recommended

First time trying Waka Sushi Japanese Restaurant. Their lunch sets have quite good portions. Teriyaki chicken is well done, not too salty or sweet, just right. Lots of stir fried vegetables to accompany it. California roll is a little loose due to wrapping but taste good. Tempura is well fried. Not oily. Overall good experience and food.

Fast delivery from Skip the dishes. Sushi was on the smaller side compared to other places we ate at. Lunch box was a good value. The tempura was tasty. We enjoyed the salmon and avocado roll. The only thing missing was the spicy mayo and extra ginger we ordered.

We enjoy every visit here. I got the chicken bento box and my partner in crime grabbed the Waka house salad which he raved about. My son loves their California rolls and only eats those when we go here. They greet you when you arrive. The staff is gracious and helpful. They try to be fast but it gets busy with take out and eating in good sign that the food is great. I recommend it. AND it's right beside cineplex so great for before or after a movie too

I went there three times! Sashimi and Nigiri was so fresh. Party tray was tasty and good portion. The spicy chirashi donburi was the best I have ever. Highly Recommended!

I've probably eaten sushi nearly once a week for the last 20 years so I'm pretty hard to impress at this point, especially since I usually eat at the better places in downtown Vancouver. So when I say Waka Sushi would wipe the floor with 95% of the Vancouver sushi, I mean it. I'm not snobby, but Langley is not known for sushi. I dropped in for lunch, not expecting much and just going for a bento box. I did a double take on the size of the cuts of sashimi. I've never in my life had cuts this big. Each one was nearly triple the size of what I'd expect. Everything was prepared perfectly and amazingly quickly and was so big it had to be brought on an additional tray. The food I saw on other people's tables looked amazing, and if it tasted like it looked, Waka Sushi is hitting way above its price range. This is in the top 5 sub $20 places I've ever been to, if it's like this every time. DISCLAIMER: I did notice some one star reviews for this place so it does seem like your mileage may vary on the day, it was not busy when I was there and the service was perfect. This may or not be the case when you go, so take my review with a grain of salt. I'll have to give it a few more tries.

Went for lunch here based on reviews and close proximity to Langley Event Centre. Good service and no reservation needed. Following Covid protocols as well. We ordered two Bento boxes beef & chicken, sashimi combo, vegan roll, gyoza and gomae. Everyone enjoyed their food, which was hot, fresh and tasty. We also received a complimentary crunch roll photographed. We had lots of leftovers for an afternoon snack. Definitely will go again.

Delicious sushi with an abundance of options. I chose the Volcano roll. It wasn't just large in size and tasty, it was a work of art! It was delivered complete with a ring of fire around it that stayed lit for a while after. It even had a decent amount of lettuce at the bottom for a complete meal. The staff was friendly and efficient. I will definitely go there again.

I order here for lunch sometimes and the vegan roll is my go to. Its so tasty and they make a good spicy mayo. Spicy mayo lovers know that not everyone makes a good one but these guys deffs do!

We ordered through SkipTheDishes The food came fast and the driver was polite. The sushi portion was a little smaller then other places we eat at. The lunch box was a good value. The only things missing was the spicy mayo and extra ginger we ordered.
