This place feels more towards modern ramen than traditional ramen, with it’s atmospheric club vibes, it’s kinda nice. Both ramens we got was delicious, but for its price, I wish the serving size was larger. We also got the Fried Oyster to try; the food was alright but the presentation was poor. Overall experience, I would only eat here for the ramen and maybe a few sushi rolls.
Been here two times now and its not a place I would spend my money again. The quality of the food does not reflect the high price. The service is really poor once seated you pretty much don't exist. First visit was close to opening of this location and understand as a new place the kinks need to be worked out. When we arrived the staff was friendly and sat us quickly. Then well.... then it was if we were not there. Tried to flag someone down multiple times to order drinks with no success being nobody even came to take a drink to begin with. Forth try and finally someone came to take our order not busy about 5 other tables and 6 staff on the floor. After we ordered our drinks when they finally arrived 18 mins later we were told someone would come and take our food order as we tried to order food from that person. Same as before nobody came took two times trying to flag someone down to order our food. We had the Tan Tan ramen , original ramen , spicy agedashi tofu and mix BBQ skewers chicken and pork. The upcharge to make the tofu spicy is ridiculous specially since it wasn't even a spicy sauce or anything like that . All it was is a little dish of Togarashi you kidding me upcharge for that laughable. Tan Tan ramen 5/10 portion size was decent flavor ok Original ramen 1/10 portion size was decent no flavor bland Agedashi tofu 6/10 should be a 1/10 for that upcharge Mix BBQ 7/10 flavor was good meat was cooked well portion size very small pieces of meat not worth the price. Second visit decided to try this place again to see if it was any better now that they have been open for a bit. Same as before was sat quickly and then didn't exist. Nobody came to take a drink order again and it took multiple attempts to get service waving of the hand to get noticed after trying to say excuse me as the servers walk by with no luck. We watched as two other tables left with out paying because one person would get their food and the other persons never came. One table was told the second person never ordered food and the second table they forgot to put the second persons order in. We ordered 2 katsu with curry and rice, tiger roll , spicy tuna roll. 2 Katsu curry 1/10 greasy no flavor, the curry sauce was literally just water mixed with curry powder bland. both people did not finish meals 1 Tiger roll 6/10 was good portion size and decent flavor 1 Spicy tuna roll 1/10 wasn't spicy , really no flavor , and was the lowest quality tuna money could buy had white stringy pieces in it maybe skin or fat not really sure. 2 Melon soda cocktails 8/10 these were really good total for this meal with tip was $100 way over priced being the quality of food was so bad.
Really good experience overall. The ramen was very tasty. I had the fried chicken ramen and my partner had the Chashu chicken ramen. Both were delicious. They were out of Sapporo which is my favorite beer to have while enjoying Asian cuisine, and service was a little slow, but that didn't ruin the experience at all. I will definitely be back.
Mediocre service and 5/10 food at best. First: I've never seen a worse presentation of Ramen at any restaurant in any country I've had the pleasure of eating Ramen. You had to search for the egg and the chashu. Second: The noodles were cooked incorrectly. They were bunched up and some were uncooked! I left some of the uncooked and bunched up noodles on the table so the server would notice it, several servers passed the table and never asked me anything or made a comment about the noodle on the table. Third: My girlfriend ordered Pork Tonkotsu with rice and it arrived 10 minutes after I got my ramen. Timing was off and THE RICE WAS COLD. We even had a hard time getting any of the servers attention and I asked the server to feel the rice with her own hands so she can see that the rice was COLD. Not warm, not room temperature but it was cold. The overall experience was bad. The management didn't do anything to remedy the situation that was brought to their attention. I ate here on May 22, 2023 at 11:30 am.
Always happy to see actual restaurants at the mall! Place is new and looks very clean with lovely decor, I think I saw a teppenyaki option! Food was delicious, we tried both their ramen and sushi options and they were presented very well. Staff service could be a little mixed, maybe they are still learning and training at this stage, but asking a second time will prompt them very quickly and they were very polite and helpful.
Service was a bit atrocious but I won’t fault them too much for that since it’s a new place they are probably still figuring stuff out. Took forever for anyone to come greet us or take any drink orders after we were sat. We were pretty much ignored the entire time aside from them taking our order and asking them to come bring us the bill. So getting to the food, there is a lack of authenticity and soul to this food. The seafood pancake resembles something like okonomiyaki but it looks like it was premade and frozen into a puck and thrown in the deep fryer. You can tell this place cuts many corners and it comes out in the quality of food. The ramen broth is missing a deep umami richness that you would find in traditional ramen. The egg is not marinated and soft boiled in the traditional way. There feels as if there is no pride or care behind the food. The noodles themselves were overdone and stuck together. This was a one and done for me, there are many other great places in Langley for sushi and ramen. Especially paying one of the highest rates for Japanese food in Langley the quantity bar is not there to justify the cost.
Amazing Japanese restaurant in Langley! Ramen is very delicious! Quality is impeccable! Great service and fresh food. I would visit here again when I missed AO Ramen and Sushi. Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
Strangely, they would not sell me sake. Both draft and bottled. Their reasoning was it was "sold out". So was not able to try any of their sake cocktails either. Ended up just drinking saporro. Ordered fried oysters as appetizer, 2 piece Toro, and energy roll. Toro came first, roll second, appetizer came out last. Fish was decent fish quality is hard to go wrong in vancouver anyways. Fried oysters came out darker than I expected older oil. Will let others comment on the ramen. I feel like this place focused too much on presentation rather than quality of the food. Plus, there's too much going on. They have Teppenyaki, ramen and sushi.
Delicious ramen, great service and fair prices. We went there for our wedding anniversary and they gave us a free dessert which was a nice gesture from them. Would definitely recommend!Food: 5/5
1. Cost was not justifiable. It's too expensive to fulfill its quality and quantity of each dish 2. Kimchi was not spicy and salty/sour enough. If you are expecting Korean Kimchi, do not order anything includes kimchi. 3. I hope I should dine in any other place than here. Not worthy as a ramen restaurant.
