We made a brunch reservation here on a holiday, they were open and very busy. Every table and the front and back bars were full.nnThis restaurant supplies ingredients from local businesses, which is nice to see. Servers are very nice and welcomingnnWe got the union salad main and the swiss train ride basically a croque madame, which came with a side salad. It came with rosti, a crispy fried and shredded potato. The Union salad was light but had generous pieces of bacon on top, and the swiss train ride was savoury and decadent.nnWashrooms are downstairs
This was my first time at the Sprint Spot on Ossington. It was a good experience. The portions were good, and the menu was great. However, street parking and paid lot parking could be a bit tricky as the area gets busy. Overall, it was a good place with great service and a great menu. I would recommend it and go back again.
Our favorite brunch spot in Toronto. Been here a couple of time and Union never failed us. The food has been consistently great, especially the sausages, bread and smoked meats. Their sticky pudding with vanilla ice cream is sublime. The menu changes regularly depending on what's fresh. Reservation highly recommended.
I like the vibe in their dining room. The place felt cozy and also that you're dining somewhere that's a nice environment to eat out at. I also liked the fresco painting on the wall above the seating.nnI tried their curry bratwurst sausage with fries and fried egg. This was a tasty and filling dish. I just wish they leaned into the curry flavour a bit more taste-wise. I get the vertical plating looks nice, but it also helps with the dining experience to have enough space on the plate to actually appreciate each ingredient separately as well as together. The dish was stacked high and there wasn't a lot of space to move things around on the plate without making a mess.nnI also had their pancakes, which was nice. It had a healthier and more robust taste to it, I think with buckwheat compared to the typical white pancake flour. I like the stewed apples on top as well as the maple syrup.
We had one of our best meals at Union.nnEverything we tried was SO good—very fresh, high-quality food made with care and full of flavor. The portions are generous, and the food has that really ‘gourmand’ feel to it.nnThe menu changes daily based on the freshest local ingredients, so there’s always something new and exciting to try.nn100% worth a visit!! We can’t wait to go back
