Solid 8/10 overall. Would rate 4.5 if possible.nnI ordered the Mixed Shawarma Wrap chicken and beef and no lettuce.nnThe flavor was pretty good, not too overwhelming but definitely not bland. The meat was seasoned well and the portions are actually huge, so you get your money's worth.nnDefinitely try the Kibbeh. It was easily some of the best I’ve had, super crispy on the outside, meaty inside, and pretty hot.nnTheir garlic sauce on the side is also pretty good. It’s tangy and has a great kick to it.nnThe people working there are friendly and have and the place design is pretty cool.nnThe Bathroom 6/10: Honestly, this part could be better. It’s pretty small and wasn't the cleanest. The water pressure was good, but the men’s room door was propped wide open when I was there, which was a little weird.
I recently visited Alpha’s Shawarma in downtown Toronto, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The place was packed when I went, which is always a good sign when it comes to food quality. Even though there was some waiting involved, it was absolutely worth it in the end.nnThe food was amazing. The shawarma had a unique flavor that really stood out compared to other places I’ve tried. The seasoning and sauces were perfectly balanced, and you could tell everything was fresh. The portion size was generous — you definitely get great quantity for the price. It’s not overpriced at all, especially considering you’re in downtown Toronto. For the taste and portion, it offers really good value.nnBecause it’s such a popular spot, finding a place to sit can be difficult. The seating area fills up quickly, and it can feel a bit crowded during peak hours. I would honestly recommend taking it to go, especially if you’re visiting during lunch or dinner rush. There’s no dedicated parking either, which is expected in downtown, so plan accordingly if you’re driving.nnOverall, Alpha’s Shawarma is a fantastic choice if you’re craving flavorful, satisfying shawarma in the city. The crowd says it all — good food attracts people. Despite the wait and limited seating, the quality, taste, and portion sizes make it completely worth it. I’ll definitely be going back again!
We had a great experience here. We tried both the shawarma plate and the shawarma wrap, and the food quality was genuinely good. The meat was fresh, tender, and well-seasoned not overly spicy, but very flavorful and well balanced.nnThe shawarma plate was generous in portion size and came with fresh sides. The garlic sauce and hummus were creamy and tasty, and the salad felt fresh and crisp. The wrap was also very well made, the bread was fresh, everything was wrapped properly, and the flavors worked really well together.
HOW TO ORDER:nLine up, order, pay by cash, debit or credit card, grab your receipt and wait for them to call out your pickup number.n————————————————————————nThis is the 3rd location since Alpha’s Shawarma opened in 2022. I stumbled upon it by accident. The door was opened, so I popped right in and looked around. I liked what I saw.nnThe open kitchen is visible right as you walked into this eatery. It looked clean, the toppings look fresh and all the uniformed employees were working relentlessly as there was a steady stream of customers.nnMajority of the orders were wraps and take out. We decided to dine in. It’s a self serve eatery, so once you finish eating, you put away your food tray, plate, cutlery and trash.nnWe ordered the Beef Shawarma Platter, it came with rice, salad and hummus. The food is delicious. We would likely dine here again if there’s a table to sit, and if we are in the area again.nnThere’s a limited amount of table, so it’s more suitable for a party of 4 and less. There’s no parking here. This eatery is right across the Eaton Centre Mall.
Hands down one of the best Shawarmas i have ever had and i live in Michigan. So that’s saying something.nnIf you’re traveling i always say go where the locals go. This was no exception, i think i was the only tourist here and i was in luck.nnStaff were friendly and fast, the environment was live, energetic and very clean.nThe shawarma was so good i forgot to take a picture before eating half of it.nDelicious Garlic, salty pickles and smokey chicken, 10 out of 10, if im ever back in Toronto will go again.
