Thrift stores just aren’t what they used to be, and Goodwill is easily at the top of my list for the worst.nYou take donated items and turn around and price them at levels that are genuinely unreasonable—often so high it defeats the entire point of thrifting. If I’m paying “almost retail,” then what exactly is the customer supposed to be getting in return?nBecause it’s definitely not quality control. I’m including three photos with this review so nobody can pretend this is exaggerated:n1 Dirty pan photo attached: This looks like it was left outside, used as a dog bowl, and then tossed straight onto the shelf without even the bare minimum cleaning.n2 Scratched monitor photo attached: A monitor with deep, obvious scratches being sold like it’s still a good buy. That’s not “gently used”—that’s damaged.n3 Dirty shower caddy photo attached: Soap scum and hair still on it. Not “a little dusty.” Unsanitary.nAnd to make it worse, the staff experience has been terrible. The people I’ve encountered have been unfriendly at best and, at worst, rude, dismissive, and downright nasty. When customers point out obvious problems or ask simple questions, they’re treated like they’re the inconvenience.nPeople shop at thrift stores because they’re trying to get through hard financial times. They’re students, seniors, families, and working people stretching a paycheck and hoping for something affordable and usable. A thrift store should feel like a community resource. This location feels like the opposite: overpriced donations, dirty and damaged items put out for sale, and an attitude that customers should be grateful for it.nDo better. Set fair prices, stop putting unsanitary or broken items on the shelves, and treat people with basic decency.
This place is never busy because they are charging 8 dollars for shirts with the sleeves hacked off them, 11 for bleach stained sweatshirts and 30 for pre-soiled overalls. They might’ve tried to sell me back my own clothes for $7.99 if they had changing rooms.
Very high priced. Other thrift stores in town are much more realistic when it comes to selling the stuff they got for free. I also always find trash on the shelves, like actual trash. I still shop there but it is very hard to find good deals.
Horrifically disrespectful employees. As others have said, the store itself is fine - decent selection, though often disorganized and overpriced. Unfortunately, that’s completely overshadowed by how donors are treated. Multiple employees handle donated items carelessly, sometimes appearing to break them intentionally, and then respond with shocking rudeness and entitlement. Donors deserve basic respect, and this behavior is unacceptable.
Not as good as Goodwills elsewhere. They don't do the color tag sales or points. Some things are way over price. They donr really carry big and tall men's clothing.nnUpdate 12/8/25: Why didn't the cashier tell me about discounts and 50% off coupons when I asked. She said we don't do that here.
