Tough City Sushi

I love this unique place, its atmosphere and water front view. Of course, let's not forget the food: raw local fish that melts on your tongue. Great service too. We sat down inside because every seat was taken on the patio. The waitress asked us to wait another 5 minutes till a table with a view on the deck became available for us.

Had lunch there today. Sunomono tasted medicinal, tuna roll was passable, but the most disappointing was the assorted tempura. Thick wet heavy batter, pale looking. Sauce was really dark and nothing like any I've ever had before. I showed the tempura to the waitress and she very kindly offered me more or a refund. I gratefully accepted the refund. The interesting thing is, she didn't seem at all surprised. Will not go there again. Waitress was very lovely but the food was not.

Lovely view from our bedroom, just like a picture postcard, over the bay. Do not do breakfast but plenty of places in the town. Comfy bed & changed daily + cleaned. Friendly staff. Lots of hot water.

Great sushi, great service with a waterfront patio. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend this place!

WAY Way waaaay over priced, $4+ for miso from a box, no meat in the rolls, poor rolling job, fall apart, rice not seasoned at all, $24 for chicken teryi? If coming from lower mainland this place is a HUGE disappointment, the server was awesome and the drinks were good but for what you pay you can get 10x the quality at 4x cheaper at any sushi place in Vancouver or Richmond. I've never been mad about sushi but this did it.
