Shelter Restaurant

Great service, delicious food and a nice causal setting! The waitress was kind and attentive! The kids enjoyed a Ricky burger while I️ enjoyed a surf bowl. Big portions for good prices. A nice family dinner spot.

Verry nice, modern, trendy with a few table fireplaces, clean, props and very friendly service. Food was well presented, tasty and a nice portion. A good variety of choices at a reasonable price. We will come back and I highly recommend it. Add a hot soup on a cold windy day and you feel like heaven. And try the Tofino Blond beer, brewed just a few blocks from here.i

Was pretty good. Didn’t wow us but nice setting and good food. They did have a great Cesar!

I'm surprised by all of these uber positive reviews! We were excited to go to this restaurant but I would say it was "meh" at best. The resultant had an overwhelming smell of seafood when you walk in (I know it's a seafood restaurant but it was more than I've ever experience elsewhere), we sat on the covered patio which was beautiful but once our food came we were satisfied but not delighted. Fries were delicious, burger was soggy, fish was overcooked but batter was solid. We weren't unhappy but we also would not return.

Great food, abysmal service. Our second time here, and for the money, we were really disappointed with the service. Apathetic waiter who forgot drinks, didn't refill them, didn't bring share plates for appetizers at a table of 5, forgot dessert requests including tea, and seemed unconcerned about it all. Table in the front atrium was also very cold for dinner, with the heater only on the lowest setting; waiter would not adjust. All the food was excellent, beautifully prepared, they just need to provide far better training and supervision to the wait staff. To cap it off, we ordered a large milk for our daughter after the tiny one he brought initially; the charge was $9 for milk. You could buy two, 4L jugs of milk for that at a grocery store.
