Sobo

One of the best restaurants in Canada and we've been to quite a few of them. Food is well prepared, every item in our order was tasty and well thought of. You could tell that the chef puts a lot of effort in creating the dishes. Very accommodative to diet restrictions.

Delicious cuisine after a long hike. Our family was exhausted after a long hike on the wild pacific trail and we needed food tout suite! Sobo had a late 9 pm opening and we took it. We found the lighting a bit dark to read the menu. The server was excellent and attentive. We enjoyed the lamb pizza, Octopus and Chanterelle Mushroom dishes very much. I think the Octopus portion could have been larger, but the flavours were great. This is a nice fusion restaurant...but the best dish by far was the key lime pie. We liked it so much we bought a full pie to bring to friends in Victoria.

Food was good but we where not impressed. Get there early as it is very busy even after summer. Lots of people in no hurry to leave sipping wine. Service is not what it should be for an restaurant of this quality. We where told 20 min for table waited almost a hour. Then felt forgotten at the table. Had to remind waitress of our drinks. Food took a long time to get out. There are better restaurants in town.

What a great place to eat. The atmosphere compliments everything. We will definitely eat there again. 5 stars indeed!!

Staff was friendly. Great atmosphere. The food was excellent. I had the cornbread and the ling cod. I will definitely come here again
