Wolf in the Fog

Damn. If you want to know what this beautiful area has to offer for amazing food, look no further. Seasonally foraged local ingredients prepared and served with love... Sounds cliche but you can tell everyone there actually gives a damn. Go there. Eat well. Feel good!

Nice young waiter. There were two of us. My partner's meal was lukewarm. For $35, that's annoying. Oysters were good. My vegetarian dish was tasty. The white wine was excellent but lukewarm which is unacceptable for $95. The waiter tried to cool it in an ice bucket to no avail. I think they're trying to be quaint by serving the food on mismatched plates. They look as though they come from a yard sale, really lousy. The plates are too darn small to serve dinner. They should change that practice. If it wasn't for the pleasant waiter, we would have been totally disappointed.

We had a wonderful experience here. Took our toddler in and ate on the balcony. I was not pleased with my order when it was brought out the first time and our waitor was super kind about it. He took it back to the kitchen and they remade it for me. It was just a burger with fries but it is one of the best burgers I have had. Made in house may cost more but you can really taste the difference!

Cool, buzzing place serving some unusual dishes and fresh, local sea food. The octopus, pork and lentil dish was my delicious. Bit of an unusual set up in that there's no definition between starters and mains, the list just goes from smaller to larger plates. We ordered two from the smaller end and two larger between two of us but it ended up being​ a bit much. Would prefer to have clear "starter size" and "main size" portions as you couldn't tell how much food would be in each dish.

Fantastic food, service and ambiance! Three of us shared awesome potatoe wrapped oysters...yum!...and a tuna tartar, fried herring, side shrimp and the best seaweed salad ever! We also shared a full order of cod which was also could have not been better. The cocktails and wine list options were also top notch. My 7 year old had the kids fish and chips which he said were the best he's ever had. Flavours were subtle and not overpowering, one can still taste the ingredients of the dish, which is a novelty in today's over processed, over flavoured world. Our server was great and explained the menu thoroughly to us. I can't wait to come back...sooner rather than later! Thank you Wolf in the Fog for one of the best dinners I've ever had.
