Fantastic experience. The menu was creative, food was beautifully plated and delicious the potato crusted oyster was a highlight and the cedar sour, a twist on the whiskey sour, but we enjoyed everything we tried. Prices are high but we felt it was worth the memorable evening in a lovely space
What a great dinner service! Started with the Thai Humboldt Squid and moved onto the House Made Pasta with lamb. The flavours were defined, yet complex, layered not crowded. The service and attitude of the team was excellent. Obviously this restaurant has established itself as one of the must try places in Tofino.I highly recommend you check it out for yourself, but book well in advance as this place gets quite busy- no surprise.
You cannot go wrong here no matter what you order. This was one of the most perfect meals I have ever experienced.nnFish only 12 hours out of the sea, so fresh. The head chef owns a boat. Drinks unique and delicious, sauces a dream of subtle flavors playing nice with each dish.nnService folks knowledgeable about the menu, kind, relaxed and not overly effusive.nnThey book up quickly, reserve well in advance. Parking is almost nonexistent.
There is so much hype around this place that made me really want to give it a try. The food is good- but not exceptional or memorable in any way. The mocktails are extremely overpriced for what they are. I ordered The Orcle and it was nothing more than just lightly flavoured soda. While the dishes are unique in their own way, they lacked depth and flavour. I can’t necessarily say the service was bad- it was fine. However, it really lacked that warm and friendly Tofino service that is common at most places in town. This place screams city vibes rather than a small coastal town feel.
Its good food… but pricey. Perhaps our expectations were conflated due to multiple people telling us to come here. What we liked:n- quality of the seafood was good overall. Especially on the seafood boardn- the slow baked halibut was great. Simplicity. It let the tang of the salad underneath do the work and highlight the seafoodn- the general accompaniment of veggies were very freshnnCons:n- Cocktails personally were meh.n- the chips for the seafood dip were abit stale and toughn- ratio of bread to lobster for the lobster roll ? had too much breadn- priceynnNo regrets but not sure if i would come back!nService was great tho and ambience is a nice balance of smart casual
