The Original Bike Shop and Cap's Bicycle Museum

I bought a bike here today. Staff was courteous and answered all the questions I had. I got a chance to try the bike before buying it. I noticed it needed some fine tuning on the gears, so I asked about that. They said every new bike gets tuned up before the costumer leaves with it. And that's exactly what happened: the bike was tuned up right away by the mechanic and ~ 15 minutes later I was on my way. I would recommend this shop to a friend.

Staff really friendly, making a good effort. Stock could be years old, a problem affecting electronics and garment materials. Nice bikes & quality gear, ok prices.

Today I called the repair shop and was on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up. I think they forgot about me? Anyway, I just wanted to ask a quick question about getting my breaks repaired, but will be going somewhere else I guess.

Went to this place to get a bike for my 11 year old kid mostly because of the excellent google reviews. They didn't have the right size at the time and said it was going to take them ~30 mins to put one together and that I should come back in an hour. I left my name and phone number and they agreed to give me a call as soon as it was ready. I never received that phone call. When I walked into the store the second time the following weekend they had lost the note with my name and phone no and completely forgotten about me. We managed to find the bike however and I decided to take it. It was a brand new bike but they told me it needed to pass some kind of inspection before they would hand it to me and the guy doing those inspections was fully booked till the end of the day - "you need to pay the full amount cause if it is not payed for he is not going to do it and you'll need to come pick it up at the end of the day at 5pm". It was midday on a Sun. "What time do you close?" -"At 5". "what if it doesn't get done today?" "Well, come again during the week, ideally on a wed". "ok, I don't need this inspection, I'd like to pickup the bike now in it's current shape and form". "No - can't give it to you now, you need to pay it now in full and come to pick it up some other time". I walked out of the store and picked up a bike from another place.

All the staff are super competent and friendly. The mechanics are willing to listen to your cycling needs and find the best solution to whatever problem you may have. The workers in the store are also very patient in finding the most suitable fit for the customer whether the product is a jersey, pair of shoes, helmet, or anything else.
