Not sure about other reviewers.. but my experience was great!! The guy who helped me was super nice and gave me good info about my issue with my bike tire. He made me feel welcome and I will gladly do so for my future bike needs. Also, great prices on a tire tube replacement. I recommend!!
Both my partner and I have purchased hybrid commuter bikes from here. They have been helpful with any questions we had about our bike accessories. They offer quick and quality service. We just brought our bikes in for a tune up and we were able to drop them off the day I called in and they were all ready for pick up well under a week. Amazing for June!
Class A shop Neil runs. Brought bike in and got fast, friendly and efficient service. This is a gem of a shop and the staff truly care. Have bought bikes there in the past and it had been awhile since I last had service. Glad to see the level of expertise was still there. No need to go anywhere else.
I had a really good experience with Jubilee Cycle! I purchased a bike for the first time and the guy sorry, I didn't catch his name! helped me understand how it should fit and helped me find the right helmet and bike lock. Service was good and friendly, if you're a newbie you won't feel intimidated going in.
Had a 10 year old trek bike that was giving to me which was sitting in storage for a number of years. Paid for a full overhaul/cleaning/tune up to get the bike back up to working order. Bike road great but the breaks had a terrible screeching noise after picking up the bike. Turns out the hydraulic breaks were so corroded they were leaking onto the break pads. I had also noticed the mineral oil was leaking from the breaks on the handle bars as well, so it seems they were in really bad shape. Took the bicycle back in and was informed the hydraulic breaking system needed to be replaced. They were really kind about it and waived the service fee as this was something that was missed during the initial full service tune up. Thank you Jubilee to the commitment of good customer service - bike is riding great now and I’m super happy. Thanks!
Buying a bike during the pandemic is insane, soo many shops are facing shortages of stock and costs are going up. I went to about 5-8 different bike shops on my day off and this one had the best service by far I did go on a rainy weekday so it was quieter. I came back on a sunny day and tried out a couple of bikes. Mark was an awesome/patient salesman he didn't push me too much and just suggested some models that suited my needs I love it when salesman are more relaxed/less pushy. Just be aware this is a small shop and can only accommodate 3 customers during COVID, so have patience or call up before coming in to try out a bike Esp on a sunny nice weekend. They have a good selection of Kona/Norco/BMC and other gravel bikes with specials on older models. I will definitely be back for some tune ups and accessories.
Exceptionally Knowledgeable staff - great advice and insights. Average-to-Competitive pricing on bikes. Solid bike service/repairs in my experience. They are a Kona dealer a fav of mine, as well as BMC, Opus, Norco, and others. Great for road, mountain, commute, casual/cruiser, CX, kids, etc.. Does not carry vintage, fashion statement/custom, or BMX I think.... Independent, family-owned and operated. In the age of Craigslist, Amazon, Chain Reaction, AliExpress, etc., I imagine it's tough work to keep a bike shop afloat, so kudos to them. They stand behind their bikes, and include a year of tune up's with the bikes they sell. They sell Kenda tubes, which in my experience are way more reliable than Bontrager or Axiom, and shockingly affordable under 10 bucks. I got Continental Touring Plus tires here for 45 bucks a piece, and I couldn't be happier with them as an all-weather commuter. There are good perks to being a regular customer here. Before you go, know this: These guys are serious bike guys, and they don't have a lot of staff. Don't come expecting an hour of undivided attention and fawning. They will help you get to the point.
Took my Kona Fire Mountain in for repairs after my rear derailleur broke and jammed into the rear wheel spokes. The guys at Jubilee had it repaired quickly and for a reasonable price. In addition they also fixed other issues that needed attention. We have some bike shops in Richmond a lot closer to home but these guys go above and beyond. My bike rides like it's brand new again. Silky smooth. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
I've bought at least 3 mountain bikes from Jubilee in the last 25 yrs - always friendly service & very reasonable pricing for service, parts and bikes. I have not been there in quite awhile. I broke the derailleur on my Kona Process 153, or at least I thought I broke it. It ended up being the derailleur hanger that was broken. I brought the pieces into Jubilee, showed them to the tech and he immediately knew what part I needed and had one in the drawer. I was in and out of the store within 2 minutes, now that's service!
These guys are great and know which bikes to sell. For example, I really wanted the 2019 Kona Sutra touring bike because it has 12mm axles, and dual camming cable disc brakes among other things, but the 2019 was teal green and hideous. Well, Jubilee has the 2018 1/2 model which is an eye catching grey with an orange stripe. It was perfect, and cheaper too. No one else in the Lower Mainland thought to stock this bike. When I had a small problem with the bike 6 months later, they fixed it with no hassle.
