The Monkey Tree Pub

The food tasted Amazing!!! All the staff where happy and considerate! They have fun Saturday music bingo and daily specials! The menu was great, as you can please any taste pallet...most of all their French fries are crispy on the outside and soft inside! I'll go back as often as possible; as the atmosphere was extremely comfortable!!!

Great pub, great food. Especially enjoy the beer selection and weekly specials. But its often quite crowded and not a lot of covid barriers in place. The staff don't wear masks, and no outdoor seating available. Finally, don't drink and drive if you plan to visit here!

We held a celebration of life for our friend and chose the Monkey Tree due to its central location and revamped menu. The manager Darren was extremely helpful in providing us the space and created a lovely customized menu with photos of our friend on short notice. The server Emily was courteous and attentive as were the other restaurant staff. The chicken wings were on point and the chicken strips were scratch made and outstanding. The drinks were prepared well and the bartending staff were professional. Darren was on site when we arrived and ensured our event went smoothly. I recommend the Monkey Tree Pub to locals and visitors alike as one of the best in Victoria for food, service and atmosphere. Thank you Darren, Emily and staff for an amazing evening we will remember for years to come.

I love this place. A pretty typical neighborhood pub, set apart by the exceptional service. The staff, in addition to being warm and friendly, are consummate pros; you never have to wait for a drink even on the busiest nights. Combined with the inviting atmosphere, ice cold beer, and raucous music bingo, what more could you ask for?

i went with two of my friends, completely sober, ordered water. My friend's glass broke at the bottom, just like fell off on it's own, and water spilt all over his pants! Then he cut his finger on the glass piece that broke off! The waitress did nothing about it and shrugged it off! I asked for a discount for our food but she just ignored us. Then she spilled water on my other friend! She was nice, but man, my one friend was injured and both friends walked out like they wet their pants. AND WE WERE COMPLETELY SOBER! Food wasn't even that great... Bad service.

OMG the prawns are amazing. The,re was a really nice server ....dark hair nose ring I think .she was fun and really nice. The only thing I would have suggested is that I was told that the shafts were a shooter but they were delicious

Everything was perfect, my only complaint is that one of the servers took my napkin and utensils after mine and my partner were finished our appy, we easily could have used them for our mains and it felt a bit wasteful, I’m accustomed to servers not touching my napkin or utensils unless they’re on the plate, and she also had to reach across me and it just felt weird. But our main server was great, the food was delicious, the vibes were good, drinks were amazing, the staff seemed to enjoy being there, all in all a great experience.

We had really good chicken strips, poutine, side salad and mini perogies. The chicken came with a good sized salad. We had good service too. However when I ordered coffee, they had no cream, only 2% milk.

I really liked the atmosphere here. The place wasn't packed so the food came real quick. The food was good and the service was excellent. I would go back again. I didn't see any monkey's in the trees. Ha Ha ha.

WAY OVERPRICED and sub-par food. Boring menu and small portions. The chicken tenders were far from tender. Curious as to how often they change the oil. $21 for Mac n Cheese !!! $35 for nachos with meat & guac….
