The Lakes
"The Lakes National Park is a peaceful bushland retreat in the Gippsland Lakes, fringed by the waters of Lake Victoria and Lake Reeve. The park includes Sperm Whale Head peninsula and Rotamah and Little Rotamah islands.Rotamah Island, accessible only by boat, is a bushland delight. Surrounded by Lake Victoria and Lake Reeve to the north and the dunes of the Ninety Mile Beach to the south, the island has clearly defined tracks offering exceptional views and bird watching opportunities.Lake Reeve is an important feeding and roosting habitat for waterfowl, and is one of Victoria’s most important areas for wading birds. A short walk will lead you from the Lookout Tower carpark down through a range of habitats to the shores of Lake Reeve."

Only saw a small section, but it was a great place to go swimming with the family. Would have been good to explore for a few days.
Gorgeous sand and incredible views, March flys are pretty shocking though so bring a boat, car, insect repellent or all 3.
We went in the middle of winter. Calm day but blew up later, very cold trip home. We were the only ones around and enjoyed a relaxing, cold but beautiful day.
Could be so much better. Everything is a little tired and in need of some TLC. Some nice short walks and very quiet camping areas. But roads need some work and tracks need clearing and markers. Still lots of birdlife bush
Lovely wildlife, very quiet and calm. We didn't stay, but from what we saw the camp site looked excellent
Nice spot when it's quiet in the cooler months. The road in needs some urgent attention. Last time I was there on Rotomah Island, the bird hides were somewhat dilapidated. Didn't bother visiting them this time. The tracks around The wetter parts of Rotomah need some proper board walks to protect the ground and flora.
Well maintained compost toilets and picnic areas.
Nice campgrounds at EMU bight, long drop toilets are clean, 2 minute walk to lake Victoria, bring as much insect repellent as you can or a flame thrower! Only a problem at dusk on the beach family friendly.but be warned that 7 odd Kay's of dirt road to the camp are slow but we'll worth it.
Beautiful spot for a flick. We took the kids out there for the day, the drive through the national park was half the fun. Will be back
Nice and peaceful lakes good for relaxing and boating
