Cute little shop. We stopped in for a hot chocolate and their new honey latte. Very nice and relaxed atmosphere with a classic feel. Lovely pastries, treats, light snacks and sandwiches. The white raspberry tart was delicious and cute. The tiramisu was light and enjoyable. Service was friendly and quick.
A century ago, there was a tea room but not much more at Cordova Bay on the east side of the Saanich Peninsula, 15 km north of downtown Victoria. Visitors today find far more comforts there, including Adrienne's Restaurant and Tea Garden, which is at Mattick's Farm, very near to the attractive Cordova Bay golf course. They offer a broad range of breakfast and lunch choices, including a variety of Eggs Benedict available all day. Beverage menu is fairly extensive, except for the woeful wine selection. Pleasant surroundings, well executed food and good service.
A lovely place in the Cordova bay. We had beni and fruits. Friendly staff, free parking. There is a golf club near the restaurant.
Very little value. Happy to pay $20 for a BLT but the B part should be more than one thin slice at that price. And the bread was literally sliced bread from a bag. I could have assembled the same sandwich for $3. Just a weird place. You must have to live there or something. Would never go back.
Never disappoints. The best Americano & Benny by far!!! I have my own way of ‘dismantling’ my Benny before I eat it.
I have fond memories of brunch here many years ago now. I have traveled around Canada and the world, and I can count on one hand the number of instances where I have not been able to finish my meal and feel compelled to leave a negative review. Adrienne's Restaurant & Tea Garden has the honour of being one those instances. I ordered the "home-made" chicken pot pie and my wife ordered the Afternoon tea plate. The microwave was used extensively, the chicken pot pie was positively disgusting, and the tea plate was grossly overpriced for three tiny finger sandwiches and dried out fruit. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs especially given the outlandish prices for what you receive. If you are in the area, I would trundle over to the Red Barn Market custom sandwich stand for a fresh, delicious sandwich for a third of the price. I did afterwards...
Food was delicious. Had the Turkey Cranberry Salad croissant and a cup of soup. Hit the spot. Atmosphere is great in the summer.... It was chilly in the sunroom with the snow outside.Food: 4/5
To start of the coffee was DE-LISH !! so was the cafe staff this is where my glowing review severely dims due to the waitressing staff and WHOEVER MADE MY BAGEL. the waitress with the curly brown hair is truly a disgrace to the service industry. didn’t check or care to ask any questions about how we were doing or how the food tastes. My friends jam was rotten no doubt and let me tell you: under any circumstances do not order the smoked salmon bagel!!!!!!! A skimpy amount of cream cheese, causing dry patches. But just wait: all the vegetables were on one half and all the salmon on the other half! i had to reassemble my $ 21 MEAL.. i didn’t order build-a-bagel SANDWICH. the veggies with ranch were the only thing edible… when we were finished we left the plates full of food no one asked if everything was alright! a different waitress with green ornament earrings SLAMMED our bill on the table and sashayed away without a word. we sat in confusion and misery for 25 minutes just waiting for a machine to pay and get the HECK out of there. we walked to the cafe to try and settle the bill and waited for another 10 mins before the curly headed waitress grabbed us to finally pay. didn’t say another word.. what a ditz.. To add it all up we were discussing our experience with a customer waiting for a table and she suggested we dine and dash to to how incompetent this establishment runs.. burn in HE double hockey sticks!
I was hunger and wanted a quick vegatarian meal. Fresh ingredients and lovely sourdough bread.Food: 5/5
The food was absolutely terrible. It was canned soup and frozen store bought burger patties that were basic store bulk quality, not even a decent tasting. Something I would never buy a second time in my home let alone dine in a restaurant for and pay $20… Awful. The server also commented in a derogatory tone that the owners were German. What does that have to do with anything??? Gross. I wouldn’t eat there ever again.
