The food is great, but the business is clearly understaffed. It is understandable and you can tell the staff is doing the best they can with their numbers. Be prepared to wait a couple of minutes at the door, and for any additional requests after being sat. It is annoying, but as far as I can almost every business is feeling the lack of staff.
For a White Spot, I was so impressed. I ordered the steak. I was hesitant because it isn't what they're known for, but I was beyond surprised! It was cooked PERFECTLY, it was tender and flavourful and I was so pleased. The mashed potatoes were delicious... Everything was cooked to perfection! The only complaint was that it could have been plated a bit nicer, but hey, the service, prices, and flavor were on point! It totally took me by surprise. Great job! I'll definitely eat at this White Spot again!!
Food was great, our server was lovely but holy cow it was freezing in there! Seriously we couldn't take our coats off, the table was ice cold & eating was uncomfortable. We saw loads of take out orders, restaurant wasn't busy but very short staffed and everyone was hustling. Sad to see & I hope it was just a one time glitch.
It's not the cheapest breakfast destination, and if you're looking to meet for breakfast before work, you'll be out of luck, because it only opens at 8am. But all that said, this is good breakfast, with really good coffee, and a comfortable enough environment in which to eat. Staffing is, as other reviewers have noted since well before current general job market woes, sparse. One person is seating guests, taking orders, topping up hot beverages, clearing plates, and everything else front-of-house. But that one server tending to the entire restaurant on my recent visit was skilled, efficient and friendly. Shame on White Spot for cutting corners on staffing, but kudos to those doing the work well even under these circumstances. $18 for a two egg breakfast seems a bit high to me, but the food was really good... and that coffee! I'd go with 4.5 stars if it was an option, but since it's not, let's err on the side of 5.
Gross. My son's Mac and Cheese was most definitely microwaved. My pasta had a strange flavor to it and the best part of my meal was the garlic toast. My coke was also flat. For not being very busy the service was also pretty slow. Overall a bad experience.
Worst service I have experienced, all our food was cold, the waitress forgot to bring us our cutlery, no fork in one set no water offered, no refill offered for either tea or coffee, small glasses of milk for all children, including the teenagers, 1 jam for 4 slices of toast, I thought after all these years that White Spot would have finally fixed their service problem… but sadly not.
The people are nice but the restaurant shows it starts its Skip delivery from 12 noon so basically it serves lunch and dinner no breakfast, no brunch Then why do you open at 10 am ?
Really nice and accommodating staff, the regular eggs benni was easily modified to be vegetarian with avocado and was amazing! They also give refills on your potatoes although I did not love the potatoes, found them to be cut a bit too large.
Broccoli, Chicken in Alfedo sauce sweeps the pallet away on a tropical cruise.
Good as always, friendly staff, little pricey than I remember but food was great.
