The House by the Side of the Road

My fiance and I had the misfortune to break down in Beamsville around 11pm last night. We called around and were about to give up and sleep in the truck when Phil answered the phone and told us he had a room (hallelujah!) He even offered to pick us up but the tow truck driver was able to give us a ride. When we got there around 12:30am this morning both he and Chris were there to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed - they even had a spare tooth brush for us as we had none of our own toiletries (and a cold moosehead for my fiance to help relax after a stressful night). It was a great experience and we are looking forward to visiting again soon - hopefully under better circumstances. I would highly recommend The House by the Side of the Road to anyone in the area.

Excellent location, clean rooms and comfortable bed. Our hosts, Chris and Phil we're very welcoming and the breakfast was absolutely 5/5!

Nice location close to wineries. Beautiful rooms, tastefully decorated with very comfortable beds. The hostess/proprietor is very hospitable & prepares an outstanding breakfast. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this B&B as a wedding gift from a friend and was the best gift ever. The room was spectacular , clean comfortable , we had the porch to sit out at night with our drinks. The owner Christine and her cook Midas were amazing, couldn't ask for better. The breakfast was top notch ! wake up hungry because they will fill you. loved it !!!!!!

It was ok. Terrible name though. Every house is by the side of the road. Every house. In fact, people build houses in locations intentionally because of their proximity to the side of the road.
