Nestled in the picturesque town of Grimsby, Ontario, this charming Boutique Inn overlooks the sparkling shores of Lake Ontario and the beautiful Niagara Escarpment. Our Inn has 78 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites, from standard double rooms to luxury suites with fully furnished living rooms, dining rooms, ensuites and powder rooms.

We offer 9,000 square feet of conference and meeting space, private dining rooms, ballrooms and a chapel and can accommodate groups from two people to three hundred people.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our experience. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Every question we asked, they were answered! The room we stayed in was clean, airy and very comfortable and large!! We had breakfast at the restaurant, Bogeys...the food was superbly delicious! Staff and Employees of The Casablanca Hotel: From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for your excellent service and assistance during our stay! We hope to see you again soon!!
Pros: Hotel is dated, but in a nice and nostalgic way. You can tell that this was a top of the line hotel in its prime. Nice grand entrance and gorgeous views from the room overlooking Lake Ontario. Clean and spacious rooms, no strange smells. A lot of shopping and restaurants nearby within minutes. Cons: No airflow in the rooms at all, they are so hot!!! And we stayed in December when it was very cold weather. Beds are tiny and extremely uncomfortable with spring mattresses that poke you. Pillows are lumpy and hard. Overall this hotel is a place to stay and no more than that all things considered. We consider it expensive when compared to other hotels with even basic amenities. Restaurant on site, no breakfast which we knew when we booked, so is no issue. Low rating given due to one of the most important factors of hotel staying being in desperate need for improvement, the bed/pillow. Would not stay here again, unless upgrades were made to improve the stifling hot rooms even in Winter and the comfort of the bed/pillow. Recommend the hotel add even vents on the windows for basic air movement.
We ran into an issue upon arrival with our room and Alicia at the front desk handled it professionally and promptly. We were upgraded at no extra cost and she remained kind and courteous throughout our stay. We will definitely be back because of her, also the room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay and the view was great.Rooms: 5/5
Reserved a room online for 166.00 taxes in. Room was comfortable , staff was nice. Upon checkout I requested a receipt. My card was charged 198.00. I questioned the discrepancy in rates . The young girl at desk was happy to look up my reservation online to compare. We were interrupted by the manager who insisted I was wrong. Actually argued with me. I brought up the hotels website and showed him the different rates advertised. I also tried to show him my reservation for 166.00. He refused to look at my phone , argued I was wrong, said the hotel has one flat rate for all rooms for all customers and it never changes. He actually argued that the hotel website isn't real, that I imagined the online reservation rate offered. He called the police and asked me to wait in my vehicle until they arrived , which I did. This was after he was threatening , aggressive and got in my face due to me asking him to look at my phone which proved I was right. I told him to back off, and go away, that I was done talking to him. I waited 45 min for police, finally going in and asking him if he really did call them as I couldn't wait all day. He said no , he did not call them. So I left , and waiting outside were the police. They said the complaint was that I was stalking the hotel by being in my vehicle in the lot. ??? The police were not happy nor impressed by this as this is what the manager insisted on. Strange. In the meantime the very nice young lady at the desk printed off my online reservation showing I was right and the manager had no clue. He lied to me, to police, was rude, immature, threatening , unprofessional , clueless and constantly smirked and laughed at me like an 8 year old simply because I questioned the overcharge on my card . Which should be understandable. He came close to being charged for making a false report and interfering with emergency services , which is mischief all due to his incompetent behavior. Very strange behavior by a manager , very strange. Certainly won't stay there again. The staff was great, very nice. Decent hotel but not worth dealing with an unstable child manager . He made an innocent request which would have been dealt with in 3 minutes a very volatile , idiotic situation. Even after his employee and myself proved him wrong, he still absolutely refused to admit it or take any kind of responsibility for himself . Just weird
I love the vintage hotel. Such a classy vibe. The interior is everything. Comfortable beds, great area for anything you need during your stay. My FAVORITE part is the Swiss Chalet just across the street Rooms: 5/5
I cannot even give this hotel a one star but it made me so I could post this!! When we checked in we were not told that there was no hot water stayed for 2 nights Hot water didn’t work for entire stay. There was mold on the lampshade, the roof and in the bathroom shower. The ice machine rooms are filled with mold and mildew and stink so badly. The rooms are extremely hot and hard to breathe in. Hallways are not clean. No one topped up anything for us one facecloth in a double room Staff is not friendly or helpful when complaints were made. I would never recommend this hotel. It needs a major health and safety check and updates to cleanliness. Very over priced!!!
Would definitely not recommend this facility. Booked my reservation, arrived at the hotel only to find out I would not get the room I booked and paid for. Was then moved to a different room and promised all amenities that I paid for would be in that room, that was not the case jacuzzi tub didn't work, air conditioning didn't work, no internet. Was then told that I would have a refund from the site I used to book and no such refund was given. Was given nothing but a run around for a whole month and customer service was quite rude actually. Save yourself a big headache and go to a different Hotel.
The rooms were in unbelievably poor condition for a hotel of this type. The service at the attached restaurant was good. The food was edible. I would go elsewhere if you want a meal that measures up to the price. Rooms: A room in any hotel should be clean. It should also be mold free. The room I stayed in had neither of these attributes
This hotel needs major improvements. The HVAC system is not functioning properly. There was no AC in our room and our room was so hot that I woke up in the middle of the night to find my 10 year old sleeping on the ground with the bar fridge open to cool off. There was mould in my room and the furnace filter was so caked with dust, there was likely no air flow at all. I complained to the hotel and they offered me a 1 night complimentary stay. No thanks! You couldn’t pay me to stay at this hotel.
The room was warm and stuffy and the ac wasn't really working. The hallways and lobby were not well air conditioned either. The hallway on the 4th floor had a funny smell as well as thr room we had there. Heard from the motel we switched to that the Casablanca was closing Dec 3022 and they are tearing it down. That explains the staff not caring and obviously no money was being put into it to fix anything.
