I had to go to Toronto from Ottawa to help my sister-in-law with a security situation. I went to this Home Depot to get new residential door locks, security cameras and other home security products. Although the store was very busy, the staff were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. They explained the different grades of locks 1, 2, 3 - locks where you could share keys Weiser how they worked. I can go on and on. The prices were good too. I was very impressed. My sisters-in-law house is now secure. I got all the products and help from this Home Depot to make this happen. I would recommend to anyone.
This location is pretty good. Staff are usually very helpful and the store is always clean. The only gripe I have is if I phone the store it’s really difficult to get through to the department I want because of the voice system and no option to just speak to someone. I’d recommend coming in person rather than calling.
Was helped by an associate walking by, by the name of Radik I believe it was. He helped me cut some plywood and had me on my way in the blink of an eye on the hottest day of the year and had a great attitude about it. As a customer who doesn't visit for this type of purchase often, it was a pleasant experience, would definitely visit here again based on the employee experience alone
I recently visited the Home Depot store in Oakville and had an exceptional experience. The store was clean, well-organized, and stocked with a wide variety of products. It was easy to navigate the aisles and find what I needed for my home improvement project.nnThe customer service was outstanding. An associate named Sarah went out of her way to help me find the perfect paint and even provided some great tips on application. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping me succeed with my project.nnThe checkout process was quick and efficient. The cashier was polite and ensured I had everything I needed before leaving the store. I also noticed that the prices were very competitive, and the quality of the products was top-notch.nnOverall, my visit to the Home Depot in Oakville was fantastic. I highly recommend this store for anyone in need of home improvement supplies. I'll definitely be coming back for future projects!
I recently filed a complaint about a refrigerator I purchased from Home Depot, and in the end, I received four key sentences in response.nn• There was no haul-away service included in your order, nor is there any indication of such a request in the order notes or our delivery system.nn• The Proof of Delivery POD dated July 2, 2025, contains no mention of a haul-away service or any internal/external appliance movement.nn• The delivery documentation includes a photo of the newly installed unit, but there is no record or evidence of the previous unit being removed.nn• If there was an internal/external move, this would have been communicated to the drivers and it would have been documented.nnI’m curious—how would others feel reading them? As for me, I’m extremely dissatisfied and frankly feel insulted. The person who took my refrigerator couldn’t provide a single photo showing they took it, yet Home Depot concluded that no one did anything wrong. What a great example of American-style Home Depot logic: there were only two parties—the delivery person who took the fridge and me, the one who lost it. If the delivery person did nothing wrong, then I, the customer, must be at fault. But where exactly was I wrong? I would really appreciate it if the great Home Depot could clearly explain that to me and all other customers, so next time we won’t waste their valuable time and manpower by filing similar complaints.nnWhat’s even more ridiculous is that I’ve had similar bad delivery experiences with other companies, but in those cases, the delivery teams admitted their mistakes after a complaint was filed. That’s how you fix problems—by acknowledging them and improving. Only Home Depot gave me a response like this: “There is no evidence the delivery team took anything.” Wow. So doing something wrong is no longer a problem—as long as you just deny it. Just keep doing it, and maybe even benefit from it. After all, the fridge that was taken was working and usable. The complaining customer is treated as irrelevant, while the delivery crew—because they’re a Home Depot partner—gets all the benefit of the doubt. Long live the partners, goodbye customers.nnAnd the best part? According to this twisted logic, if the delivery team—who wasn’t supposed to take anything—can’t provide a photo of themselves taking it, then that means they simply didn’t take it. Unbelievable. That’s the standard now?nnEveryone should learn from this kind of logic—it’s clearly the way to grow a business. Lesson learned.
