One of the top 3 cocktail bars in the entire city. If you have 4+ you should make a reservation regardless of what time you come because it's very small and fills up quickly.  The bartenders will make you whatever you like, so the menu is extensive but don't be afraid to give them a liquor you like and some ingredients and let them go to town.  This is a great date night spot if you want to impress someone before you go home

This place comes complete with the coolest vibes and freshest drinks! Cool, sophisticated, classy, and a bit of mystery sets this place off something special! Great chill atmosphere. Comfy seating. And the bartenders are some of the very best mixologist I’ve ever seen. True magicians! Get the dealers choice drink. You won’t be disappointed. Cheers!

Beautifully designed interior, warm and welcoming with really great bartender / mixologists. The drinks crafted here really are amazing, both in look and taste.  The drinks menu is very well put together. Order off menu with ease also. They know what they’re doing here and it shows.  If your a fan of whiskey, you’ll be impressed with the huge collection that’s on offer.  Definitely worth a visit, we’ll be going back that’s for certain.

We originally wanted to check out Bodega but it was closed that evening so we checked out the hotel lounge bar instead. The place was very pretty and service was prompt. I enjoyed the Design your own Drink option, especially since they have rhum agricole which is not common at bars. Bartender made a great drink for us. They have a small snack selection too.

Wow the drinks here are delicious and very affordable!! You know the bartender is talented when he can whip up a great dealers choice drink. Perfect atmosphere for a date

Let me just say, I’m not a huge cocktail drinker because oftentimes I feel that I get a drink that is two parts rubbing alcohol and one part pure high fructose corn sugar syrup.  This place? I could have had three cocktails in quick succession because these cocktails are perfectly balanced and smooth and created with such expertise that each sip is heaven.  The dealers choice was what my husband went with, and the surprise drink was exceptional. I had their take on the aviation and it was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, hands down, and introduced me to black gin. I love most gins but lt had never had black gin and now I’m pretty sure my gin drinks for the next few months will have to have it in there.  The service was professional and superb; not too pushy but not too distant to ensure we were having a good time. I loved the small, dark, cozy ambience; it felt more like a classy house party than a bar, and while it was a little loud Friday night 2000 that couldn’t be helped and no one was wild, it was just a lot of voices in a small space. I’ll be back here and I’ll be telling all my friends with a nose for good well balanced drinks and a penchant for chill classy spots to head this way!

Creative cocktails, excellent service, consistently one of the best bar/lounge's in Chicago. I've visited The Berkshire Room on a few occasions when visiting the city. It never disappoints. Try the "Old Money" or my personal favorite, "The Westin" both some of the best cocktails I've had. You'll find a small, simple, but delicious menu of snacks to accompany your drinks. I find the quality of drinks and eats to be fairly priced. However, there's something for everyone here too! If high-end is your game you can also see something truly amazing, check out their "dusties" option where you can enjoy some of the rarest spirits around.  I love this place! In fact, on my last visit I had a poor experience at the bar next door, thankfully this gem was just steps away and turned a terrible evening into a fun, memorable one. Special thanks to the staff who truly gave a darn about me and my party and made our weekend exceptional. Cheers!

I always make a stop here whenever I’m in the River North area. They have some interesting house original cocktail as well as some solid traditional ones. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for the “dealers choice” and have the bartender’s expertise and creativity come through. These folks are absolute magicians behind the bar.

I have been here a couple times and have loved each experience. Great place to grab a couple drinks in an intimate setting. Recently, I have decided to take a break from drinking alcohol and have been a bit nervous to go to bars since. The mixologist asked me a couple questions and made me a delicious mocktail. The hospitality was beyond amazing!

Wanted to review our first and possibly only visit earlier this year in November.  We had a reservation for two in the lounge. We were seated by the very friendly hostess at a high table. Our stools were missing the foot rest bar. Not the worst thing in the world but still very uncomfortable as they were tall and your feet just dangle. Our waitress hadn't come by in 10 minutes so we had to scout and switch out the chairs ourselves.  Over the course of the next hour or so, we saw the waitress maybe three times. Wasn't very knowledgeable of the menu, so we had to just guess and try new cocktails.  We had a few drinks that were not very good and had to wait 20 minutes to spot the waitress to ask for assistance. Many times we had to go bother the waitress to help us out. It got so bad that even the hostess had a frustrated expression while looking around for the waitress.  It was only 9pm and wasn't that busy. We saw other tables being attended by their servers quite regularly. They were chatting with the customers and always seemed in a happy mood. While our server barely talked and had the demeanor that she didn't want to be there.  Finally we couldn't really enjoy ourselves and asked the hostess for our check. After waiting a while, the server came back and threw the check on the table without even looking at us. We saw that one drink was taken off the check because it was one we complained about. At least that was handled well.  It was a great shame as we were in the city celebrating a special occasion and had been recommended to visit the Berkshire Room.
