Wow. First time having the all-beef Yugoslavian sausage and it was just incredible. We came here for the Vietnamese and were surprised to see a fusion Yugoslavian-Vietnamese menu. Turns out the husband is from the former and the wife is from the latter, and it worked incredibly well. We loved the sausage rolls, and while the mussles were a bit too chewy and not nearly as fresh/soft as others we've had at higher end places, the 'yummy' sauce it came with was just delicious and worked great with the bread. The big bread bun served with sausage in the photo here is the main dish everyone should order here. The bread was just so soft, fluffy and incredibly tasty. I personally loved the Pho so much and I want to go there just to have it again. Overall, this place was a delightful surprise and I wish I found about it sooner.
Don’t be intimidated by the looks of this restaurant! A cathedral style place serving pho?!?? They did it! This place is a family restaurant and it shows in the deliciousness of the food and the friendliness of the owners! We ordered rolls as appetizers, very good and fresh and both our phos traditional beef and spicy lemongrass beef were full of flavour! I will definitely come back here each time I’m craving pho
The owners are both so incredibly kind and provide amazing service and food! This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The scallops are amazing and the pho has great flavor.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
Absolutely delicious. Found this on google and went immediately!!! Probably the best pho I’ve ever had. Service was amazing & had a lovely table by the window. The couple that owns this place is personable, kind, and accommodating. Will be back!!!
First time here came on a super cold day looking to get some delicious hot pho & that's what we got. It's a nice lil comfy spot with friendly staff. It did take a while for the waitress to come take our orders as she was the only staff member besides the man at the bar, I don't know if that's usually how it is. The wait time for our two orders was a bit long as well. The pho itself was great def hit the spot, although I will say they are pricier than what I'm used to-I got the beef broth with brisket & that was $17, my hunny got the sunset pho & that was $21 so yea, it's delicious but I've had delicious pho for much cheaper. This was probably my first & last time coming here but it was a positive experience overall.
Just had the lemongrass spicy beef pho, and it was amazing. The broth was rich and yummy. The ambience was very chill and nice, and the staff was absolutely friendly. I came alone and they were absolutely hospitable. Would absolutely come again :
Pho was extremely tasty and the portion was huge. But if you have a few hours to spare that you can spend waiting for your dish that doesn't really need to be cooked, just put everything on one plate. If you want to watch the staff just bustle around trying to clear one table in 15 minutes. If you're ready to check glasses for cleanliness before use see the pic in attach. If you are ready for all this terrible service, then go and try this Pho because it was the only good thing about this place. Sorry, but a restaurant is not only about food but also about service.
The food was incredible and the owner was so kind. He was super friendly and even offered us free shots of brandy just so we could try it. The pho portions were huuuge - you could easily share between 2 people or take half home for lunch later. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
Thought I walked into a dive bar at first but it’s a Yugoslavian Vietnamese fusion spot. Best pho in Chicago, plus the owners are super nice! Will be coming backRecommended dishesBeef Pho, Sauce, Vegetarian Pho, Spring Roll
the pho was great — not the best i’ve ever had, but it was good. the service though was slow and odd. i was the first of my party to arrive and wasn’t offered a drink while i waited; in fact, no one came up to the table for at least 20 minutes, even after we had been all sat for a while. our food came out before our drinks did, and one person at our table waited extra long for his drink. then again, we waited 25-30 mins for someone to bring our check. also, they won’t split your check more than two ways, which seems odd to me in a place where multiple friends are likely to gather.
