My friends and I went to cerise rooftop after a bit of shopping on a Thursday night. It took a while to locate the host and we were quickly seated to low comfy outdoor couch outside. The view is nice and the drinks are good, reasonably priced. It was crowded and they had a DJ but the music is not quite good. The outdoor area closed at 11pm when we were there, not sure if that’s normally the case. I think it’s a neat location downtown but there are definitely better rooftop options!
The view is amazing on a warm weather day. Not too much else to compliment. The prices I think are fair for a rooftop as well. Service just incredibly slow at the bar....... But worth a visit on a beautiful day!
First off, this place is a vibe! Shortly after I arrived, the dj came and started playing music which truly livened up the place! The drinks are pretty good. So far, my favorite there is the passion fruit margarita. I also had the chi rise… I’m wondering if I said that right.. anyway it was a bit too tart for my liking. And of course several shots were ordered. Our reservation had us seated outside initially but it was literally 90 degrees outside and unfortunately they do not have any means of shade to block direct sunlight from beaming on you. Also, they have large beautiful flower pots on the balcony which attracts/harbors dragon flies, bees, and other large insects causing them to constantly swarm around you. These two factors caused me to rate 4 stars instead of 5. I would highly recommend that they invest in umbrellas, tents, etc. for customers who dine outside. Me and my friend were drenched in sweat prior to requesting a seat change. Other than that, I highly recommend and I can guarantee anyone who visits is bound to have a great time!
Awesome rooftop in the heart of the city! The music is very chill but upbeat that matches the ambiance of the space. This is a great place to people watch and the food is also pretty good. Overall, it can get a little warm depending on time of day but a great place to grab a drink with your friends and unwind!
I would love to give this place a 5 star, the food and drinks were awesome! Add the view in and there is no doubt this is a 5 star rooftop bar. However the service. The server did not introduce herself, check on us, ask if we wanted more drinks/food after ordering an appetizer. Disappointed in the service.
Great atmosphere with a stunning view of the city. However, service was really poor! our server was MIA, took our order after 30 mins of arrival even tho they weren’t busy at all, we end up getting our food after 40 mins. She was unfamiliar with orders on the menu, never came to check on us the whole time we were there. It was a mission to catch any server just to ask for water. They definitely need new management!
The view was very good. The service for drinks and food was very slow and the drinks were not actually very good and pricey but very instagramable. Staff was very friendly and funny and we were seated pretty quick without reservation.
Pictures often tell of the awesome scenery which appears to be the primary appeal factor. Let it be known that the drinks at the bar, and the flexibility of the bar tender is equally appealing.
Excellent food! We split the Ceasar salad and chicken sandwich. Mmm. Good drinks too! Great views.. Our server Briana i wanna say was super nice and friendly. The only thing that could have been better was the hostess... she didn't seem to give a sht that we were there lol. We were all excited, first timers, and she was like a brick wall. but totally go! And Fyi the elevator let's you upstairs only when they're open. So be prepared to wait in the lobby if you're early. Would love to go back when it's warm and sit outside.
Beautiful rooftop restaurant bar with amazing views of the various architecture in Chicago. It is on the 26th floor of the Virgin Hotel They allow each table 2 hours to enjoy. If you are a party of 4-6 you can request the “swing” table which is a picnic style table with 4of the seats being swings There are not a lot of choices on the menu but everything we tried was fabulous. I would recommend the Purple Reign cocktail which is delicious and a cool purple color garnished with a cucumber slice! I don’t like gin but I still loved it We also had the fried cauliflower, the “uncommon burger”, the Airline Chicken and fried chicken sandwich My only complaint would be how hard it is to get a reservation through Open Table. If you are staying in the hotel they will try to accommodate you as a walk in.
