Yunnan Steamed Fish Pot

Very pleasantly surprised with this meal upon a recommendation. A unique way to poach and steam a fish in only a matter of minutes in a delicate broth. The fish largemouth bass was cooked perfectly and was beautifully seasoned. After you consume the fish, they bring other items such as meat, noodles and vegetables that you can use the soup as a hot pot to continue the meal. Staff is super friendly and helpful in making recommendations. The meal was a little on the pricey side but I feel there is value in the fresh ingredients and the novel cooking method. Highly recommended especially if you are a fish lover. I think we will definitely be back next time we are in this part of town.

Great tasting sea bass and free-run chicken steam pot. Highly recommended. The only thing is that we also got some gooseneck barnacles and Vancouver clams from the seafood market next door that we also wanted to throw into the pot and they charged us a $15 "service fee".

My friends recommended this restaurant and we went there together. This is so delicious! The fish soup and meat are both tasty, and you can order other vegetables or meat as you like and put it in like a hot pot. Besides, the cooking process is short, you don’t need to wait for long. Love this!

The fish was newly cached from their tank. I like the fish meat as it was tender and fresh. But I dislike the soup , as obviously they added too much monosodium glutamate. By the way , I was also wondering how / whether they wash the stone pot?

The funny thing was we didn't know how to order. The waitress had to come to help us and asked us to order fish for our meal. Overall, it is a very delicious food, and the fish is fresh.

As a fan of fish cuisine, I was happy to visit there for dining. They serve steamed fresh green bass as the main course that you should finish before moving to add-on such as beef, lamb, vegetables...Cash only with an ATM at the entrance.

We specifically asked for a small fish and they give us a 2.9 lbs one. The table that came later had 4ppl and got a 2.4 lbs fish. How does that make sense? Does my request mean nothing to them? And one of the store stuff or maybe the owner were watching tik tok in one of the tables and it was so loud, very unprofessional and annoying. Food was overpriced too. Not worth $70 per person.

When the staff came over to show my friend and I the fish for the meal, she said it was 3 pounds. Knowing that the restaurant was quite expensive $30 per pound, we asked for a smaller fish. However, instead of checking, the staff told us that the 3 pound fish was the lightest one they had. After around 20 minutes into our meal, the same lady brought over a 2.4 pound fish to the table beside us. Not only was the service terrible because they lied to us, we paid a lot of money when we could of paid less.

Fresh fish. Slightly pricey. But honestly, there aren't many fish place in town.
