I'm really speechless. I've always trusted T&T, but today I bought a bag of jelly and when I got home, I noticed it was expired. I didn't check the date because I was careless, but I'm wondering—why is an expired product still on the shelf being sold to customers?
Smaller t&t but still a good variety of baked goods and ready food options. The rice balls were bad unfortunately, soaked in soy sauce.
A female staff at the cashier side is very unfriendly and extremely impatient, especially towards customers purchasing a lot of items . Other cashier staff usually help you pack your paid stuff or they will fetch your shopping trolley before you pay the items so that you can pack while they scan or they will give you enough time to pack your stuff before calling the next customer. But this person said she can only fetch my trolley once I paid my items and she immediately called the next customer once I paid. Then she told me that I blocked other customers while I was hurry packing my paid items. Once she got your money, she expected you to disappear immediately! The congestion at the cashier side is completely due to this person’s stupidness.nnAlso, the staff at the self checkout section has a manager-like attitude. Like they are supposed to do nothing! Even if there is long line up and the self checkout section is empty, they will forbid you from using the self checkout when you have more than 15 items. This is completely ridiculous! Also, the staff just stand there and ignore the shopping carts around them completely. Even if the customers waving anxiously at the trolley check-in section, they chose to ignore and did nothing even when the self checkout section is empty!nAs a Chinese customer, I support T&T ‘s business by almost going to this store every week for groceries. However, this recent experience makes me very uncomfortable!
If you're in the College and Spadina area and need to pick up groceries, consider giving this TNT location a try. Located on an upper level, it is easy to access with either elevator or escalator. Abundance of options with fresh fruits and veggies, meat, convenience items, a ton of snacks, and a hot food section. You can grab a pre-packaged hot meal or scoop and weigh with plenty of meat, veggie, and carb options. Fresh baked goods are also available here as well as dairy, tofu, household items, beauty and more. You may not think it looks big from the outside but there's more than enough! There is also a small seating area downstairs on the main level. If you drive, be sure to let the cashier staff know so they can validate your parking.
T & T Supermarket in downtown Toronto is amazing if you love Japanese and Korean cosmetics. They have a wide selection of brands, creams, serums, and all kinds of facial cleansers at reasonable prices.nnThe food section is excellent too — lots of fresh products and a big variety of Asian groceries, all at very good prices. There’s also a hot food area with a buffet-style takeaway, and a dessert section with all kinds of cakes and sweets.nnIt’s a very complete supermarket, and I just love going there.
