Nov2024 Asian themed supermarket that is arguably one of the largest and most varied within the greater Toronto area.nnMost products are on food and culinary choices. Small stalls for household and personal goods.nnA large selection of baked and ready cooked goods which is pretty popular as they have a small eating area at the ground floor area.
Compressed downtown location of T&T Supermarket located near College and Spadina. Great alternative location from the original Cherry Beach spot. Not bad to stop by and grab some snacks to go! It does get fairly busy during weekends and after work hours. Try and go on off-hours as the weekends will have line-ups wrapping all the way to the meat section/frozen aisles at peak periods!nnThey have the bare necessities and diverse products that still to cover the basic shopping list. The products all look decently displayed. They have the usual produce, meat, seafood, aisles for packaged goods, home products and hot counter. They offer the Chinese BBQ as well. Lots of product to fit in a tiny second floor unit. They incorporated the main lobby entrance floor with limited seating around 10-15 people if you want to sit and eat.nnWish there was more space to this store location, however still decent for what they've settled with. Limited based on unit space and they've tried really hard to pack a lot in from aisles to fruit and veg to hot foods sections. The navigation and arrangement of this store is a bit more confusing for sure and still tries to mimic the standard T&T layout. The cashier area is very limited and tight. Also, they have the self-checkout counters. During the pandemic times, they have someone monitoring the checkout section so be sure to listen to their directions.nnNote: Use the front entrance near the vegetables to get to the ready-to-eat food section.
It was my first time visiting this place and I thought it was awesome minus the cramp, very narrow aisles. I really wished the aisles were wider, so that you can fit two shopping carts. Other than that, I love how fresh the produce looks and you get some pretty big size fruits on sale. They have a good selection in the bakery department and meat department. However, we purchased a small dessert cake to take home. For a mango cake, there weren’t a lot of mangoes in it. They also have hot food similar to Mariano’s in the States. It’s convenient if you’re in a hurry and want to grab a quick lunch or dinner. You pack whatever you want in a container. There is always a line for check out but you’re not waiting long. The workers are very efficient at getting customers in and out. There are tables downstairs if you want to eat your hot food there.
Expensive grocery store, vegetables are not always fresh $$, fish, meat and big choices of Asian foods. I like to shop for some skincare products and green teas. They carry products from Korea and Japan check it out.
I recently visited the T&T Supermarket College store and was pleased to see their extensive range of fresh foods. The variety of Asian ingredients available is impressive and makes it easy for us to prepare our Vietnamese cuisine right here in Toronto. It's a great resource for finding authentic ingredients and fresh produce, making cooking traditional dishes a breeze. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the selection and quality at this store.
