I recently visited the T&T Supermarket College store and was pleased to see their extensive range of fresh foods. The variety of Asian ingredients available is impressive and makes it easy for us to prepare our Vietnamese cuisine right here in Toronto. It's a great resource for finding authentic ingredients and fresh produce, making cooking traditional dishes a breeze. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the selection and quality at this store.
It was my first time visiting this place and I thought it was awesome minus the cramp, very narrow aisles. I really wished the aisles were wider, so that you can fit two shopping carts. Other than that, I love how fresh the produce looks and you get some pretty big size fruits on sale. They have a good selection in the bakery department and meat department. However, we purchased a small dessert cake to take home. For a mango cake, there weren’t a lot of mangoes in it. They also have hot food similar to Mariano’s in the States. It’s convenient if you’re in a hurry and want to grab a quick lunch or dinner. You pack whatever you want in a container. There is always a line for check out but you’re not waiting long. The workers are very efficient at getting customers in and out. There are tables downstairs if you want to eat your hot food there.
Cool place. But VERY inefficient cashier system. I’m at the back of the line at the back of the store. I only want some of the hot food they sell but I still have to line up this long. Wish they had a better setup.
I tried the weighted food table. I found the eggplant was not fresh, however the grouper, broccoli, beans and pork in black bean sauce were decent. Weight adds up quickly, so I would rather buy a preset price meal next time. I bought four shrimp dumplings for $4.50. There are many items in the sushi and dim sum sections of the store to choose from, if you are looking for a reasonably priced snack, $ 5- $10.
First time here and found everything I was looking for. They have all the Asian goodies from cooking ingredients, produce, wide variety of meats, pastry, and cooked food! Oh, they also have Asian skin care! There will be a line at checkout but it moves fast.
