Part of the Foody Mart franchise. Very large chinese supermarket located close to Scarborough Town Centre. Prices are competitive with a wide selection of food. They have cooked/prepared food including dim sum, sushi, Coco bubble tea, cakes and buns. Similar to all cheap chinese owners, they don't heat the store sufficiently in the winter so it's freezing inside.
I discovered this grocery store when I had to visit a relative near this area. I live in Mississauga and we don't have any Chinese grocery store with this much selection of snacks, cooked foods, and vegetables. The best part is the prices are very reasonable , the staff are very friendly and helpful and the store is clean and well organized. This has been the highllight of my trip to Scarborough once week and now I do most of my weekly grocery shopping here. Keep up the good work!! My only dislike is the smell of Durian fruit the first thing you enter the store- please put these stinky disgusting fruit in an air sealed part of the store!!! I get that some people might buy this but please don't ruin the air for the rest of the clients.
This is a Chinese grocery store, very clean and pleasing to the nose… This place is so humongous but there is enough room to push two carts on perfectly organized aisles. Surprise, surprise! One feels like we are in one of those grocery stores in Hongkong. This particular store favoured clean and sanitary shopping for people, mostly because they wrap everything from bread, pastries and vegetables separately for the buyers convenience and assurance that it’s safe and haven’t been ‘massaged’ by anyone.nParking is ample and so many other stores around so go shop!
Disappointed with the box of brown sugar boba ice cream bar. The bars melted before, so the bar slid off the stick and we got a mess instead. How do we know how long this box was out of the fridge before being placed in the fridge? Did you have a power outage and not check your products? How does Foody World ensure their frozen products are in good condition and does not sell items like this? I would never buy ice cream products from there again.
The cakes are spectacular. I'm in my 6th cake purchase 10/10
