here is where I pick up a pantry staple, Selection BBQ peanuts*, available only at select Metro and Food Basics locations .. here is where the price is best, their regular topping Metro’s sale pricennon NW corner of Lansdowne and Dupont, this converted industrial factory, solid with high ceilings, now has a busy market feel, spacious with wide aisles and display spreads .. check weekly flyers for the rotating mega deals .. and pick up regular foodstuff at consistently lower pricesnn* ingredient list is simple, and this label contains torula yeast, a flavor and nutrient additive
Like everything about the store with the exception of the security staff, although I have never had any problems myself,I have watched them harass people and too quickly assuming them stealing.I experienced a well dressed professional gentleman falsely accused and physically grabbed and after he presented his receipt and allowed them to remove everything from his bags he got not so much as an apology nor did they help him reload his groceries. I witnessed several times the security staff actually physically assault others. This is a serious issue that needs looking into!
Address: 830 Lansdowne Ave, Toronto, ON, M6H 0C3, CanadanMain Interaction Point: DuPont St & Lansdowne AvennPros:n• Convenient Location: The store is located on the first floor, providing easy access for shoppers.n• Parking Availability: Ample parking is available on-site, making it convenient for customers who drive.n• Self-Checkout: Self-checkout kiosks are available for quicker, contactless transactions.n• Family Essentials: You can find a variety of products that cater to family needs, from groceries to household items.n• Security Presence: A security guard is stationed on-site to ensure the safety of shoppers and maintain a secure environment.nnCons:n• Homeless Presence: There is a significant number of homeless individuals who tend to congregate near the entrance of the store throughout the day. This can make the area feel uncomfortable, especially for some shoppers.n• Nearby Homeless Shelter: A homeless shelter directly across the street contributes to the higher concentration of homeless people in the area. This proximity can create an uneasy shopping experience, particularly for women and children, who may feel unsafe or uncomfortable navigating the space.
Very good weekly deals.nAffordable price and good quality.nBut sometimes… there’s an empty space… no product…nI’ve visited this place more than ten times… but never seen 10$ chicken always sold out
This store has gone down hill. Shelves are empty, buggies never work properly, baskets need to be washed, you wait forever for price checks because you can never find anybody on the floor. Managers dont want to be there. Lineups because of personal shoppers and they push self checkout. No thank you.! The pro to this store is a very nice young lady in the morning on cash. She always has a smile and is a delight to deal with.. I was surprised today she asked me for a donation. She explained what it was for. I gave her the $2 donation but couldn't believe that a big food corporation with their profits asks us for money to feed the poor.nHa!
