I had a very disappointing experience at this store.nI purchased two packages of fried boneless chicken bites, and the quality was extremely poor. The texture was so bad that it was impossible to eat — I could barely get a fork into it. It did not seem fresh at all, even though it was within the best-before date.nWhen I returned to the store, the customer service experience was even worse. The staff member a woman with glasses started speaking loudly and told me she could not refund thenproduct because it was a final sale. I want to clarify that I was not even arguing about the refund — I was simply trying to point out that this level of quality should not be sold to customers.nThis kind of behavior and product quality is unacceptable. I expected much better professionalism and responsibility.
I love all Provigo locations, hope they don’t all disappear and turn into Maxis. But I had a bad experience here last night. As I am paying before catching the bus, I notice my milk carton is wet, too late to run back and change it…..had to finish my Gatorade & dump the milk I could salvage in the bottle. And the two main items I came for , pork ribs at $3/lb and salmon at $9.99, nowhere to be seen….yes they had the items but at 200-300% pricier …..please do better guys, if the flyer has a special, it should be honoured at all locations
Today a 600 gram box of Alpen cereal costs $8.19 at Lowblaws-owned Provigo store, highest I've seen anywhere. It's a political and regulatory failure which has only emboldened this company to step up its gouging further.nnPut a windfall tax on the major grocers and use the money to help fund food banks and meal centers, which already exist but need funding so people can eat. Food needs to start being viewed as a human right like health care, both are necessary to live, and not just a way for billionaires to make more money.
On many occasions as I shop at provigo almost every day and have been helped by the service manager migdalia many times and she is a pleasant and very helpful person... unlike a couple of other people that work there . But mostly the staff is good ... I recommend you shopping there .
