Staff are super friendly and very willing to help. It was my first time coming to this restaurant cafe and they had a QR code for me to scan to order. As you order, you create an account where you can collect points which you can use to redeem food in the future like a loyalty card. The bubble tea was a bit strong for me, it's more HK-style and not super creamy/milky. I ordered 30% sugar, although next time I'd probably do higher. Compared to other bubble tea places, this place is very accurate when you do sugar, I usually get 50% or less at bubble tea places, here I'd probably do an extra 25-50% compared to my usual order. They do both hot and cold bubble tea and their pearls aren't that sweet. The milk pudding has a very nice light subtle sweet milk taste which I really enjoyed with my tea. The staff also have containers for if you need to take away the rest of your meal. Location-wise, it's very convenient and right next to bus stop 26E.
Thought of having a dessert after our dinner at home. Came to this place and found that it has limited space. We don't mind waiting as we have the time. While waiting, we noticed that many tables were not served. Many came in a group and only one or two orders came faster than the others. Due to the many varieties and options, and lack of servers, customers have to wait. Once seated, we quickly ordered the easiest dessert to avoid wait time again. The black glutinous rice and sea coconut dessert was served warm and nice to my liking. The fresh mango and sago with coconut milk was served cold. The setback was that there were a few miserable cubes of mango only. A bit pricey for a simple, small bowl but refreshing taste of desserts.
I wanted to try something different. This is very different from the regular desert joints. I got the Golden Saga Mixed and Mango Custard Sweet Dumplings. My favourite was the Golden Saga mixed. It was a combination of mango juice with tapioca. But I enjoyed the way I combined these two desserts. What I did was, I took out the dumpling from the Mango custard dumpling and dipped it into the Saga mango. Trust me you guys will love this combination. This definitely makes me curious to try the other menu items.
It was my first time here and we ordered mango shaved ice and coffee pudding. The shaved ice comes with a number of toppings to choose from, we chose tapioca and brown sugar jelly. Though we loved both the desserts, my personal favourite is the coffee pudding. Our server was very knowledgeable and courteous. Will definitely recommend this place for satiating that sweet tooth!
I ordered Japanese Teriyaki fries and Cheesy custard pork cutlet with pasta. The pork cutlet was a bit dry and the pasta was a little lack of taste but it was still good and creamy. The fries were so good and crispy. The food in this restaurant are not so overpriced with good portion. They have a button on the table that you can call them whenever you need them or want to get a bill which was very convenient. Also, 5% discount if you pay in cash!!
Got shaved mango ice. Tasted good, was good enough to satisfy any sweet tooth craving. The location was nice, lovey ambiance, great choice in music. Must say though, the process of ordering the dessert/meal online while being in the store was slightly odd to me, but it worked and I enjoyed it. Would have been better if they had more of their menu options available, all of them were sold out. Not exactly sure if it was because they didn’t have it, or because it was late at night. Would overall rate 6.8/10
I'd love to make this store succeed. They will, if they do the following : 1 hire a polite staff that will make conversations with the customers, the person serving there has a sad face the whole time and not showing even a smile. Have someone who is friendly to your customers and not serious all the time. 2 improve your lights, change your lights to white brighter lights. The lights right now are yellow and dull, it makes the store looks sad and dull. 3 remove the clutter from the store. You cannot have a freezer and boxes at the front in front of where customers are sitting. 4 repaint the walls to a lighter colors, it's currently black and sad. I love the look of the bricks and lines on them. 5 change the black board to an LED screen to show things clearly. I hope these things will be considered. The food is good so I'm giving 3/5 stars. I will change to 5/5 starts once I see better changes. Edit made it to 5/5 for commitment to make it better.
Me and my friends come to this place at least once a month sometimes even more! It’s our go to place to go to for affordable yet amazing food! My go to if I’m not particularly very very hungry is the the Japanese Popcorn Chicken because it never disappoints! If you’re feeling very hungry the ones I recommend are the Cheesy Baked: Creamy Pork Cutlet, Baked Tangy Tomato Pork Cutlet, and Japanese Curry Pork Cutlet. It doesn’t matter if you get pork or chicken, we just prefer pork more! DO NOT GET: the cheesy baked black pepper if you want a significant amount of black pepper the whole time you’re eating. For dessert our favorite is the Mango Roll Supreme we get this everytime. If you want to share dessert with your friends I recommend any of the egg waffles! Can’t go wrong with those!
The cheese fries were good and the waffle was yummy!! I gave it 3 stars because the atmosphere was a bit darker than I imagined? It is a nice place to hangout with friends and grab a bite like I did but the interior just doesn’t seem very inviting. Also, it’s hard to get the attention of the server, there’s just 1 person managing everyone - felt bad for them at times
Sugar Marmalade always brings back memories of Hong Kong desserts for me. There are many different kinds of desserts, including traditional and fusion. Recently, I had honeydew shaved ice with aloe, honeydew, shaved ice, and ice cream. It was good! Not too sweet, but very cold. I also had takoyaki, which was crunchy and delicious, especially after eating cold food. I saw some people ordering the waffles, and they looked really good too! Besides desserts, they also serve meals. The environment is clean and spacious, and the staff are friendly, although it seems like they only have two staff members, so they are quite busy.
