Went on a Monday afternoon a little after 2PM. I've been meaning to try this place out because it a HK chain. I ordered a Mango Coconut with Sago and because it was pretty quiet there it didn't take long for me to receive my drink. The coconut is more of a slush that mixes in with the mango as you stir. Each sip is not too sweet which is great for sharing with my family, but the mango flavor isn't as prominent as I had hoped. Might go back to give it another try, but next time I'll try out one of their dessert.
Love the mango desserts here! Rich, creamy, and sweet taste in a smooth texture. Mango and coconut with taro balls or pomelo sago are top choice combination so far. The regular size is already big so it’s worth the price. Definitely a great and differentiated alternative to bubble tea. But I don't recommend their fruit tea due to lack of flavors.
What a cute little spot for bubble tea! So I'm not usually a bubble tea person simply because I end up gravitating towards other things like mochi! But my friend convinced me because he really loves this spot. I was not disappointed! Delicious drink to nurse after a hearty steak! Great spot and pretty empty even on a Friday. Highly recommend it as a cute date spot near square one.
Perfect weather for a cold bubble tea, and a bonus that it was only $1! My first visit to Hui Lau and my second time drinking bubble tea. Aside from the tapioca balls, I really enjoyed their mango coconut drink- so refreshing on a hot summer day. Loved the interior design here, the whimsical flamingo wallpaper is cute.
My go to order in this place is their mango coconut with tapioca pearls and it tastes amazing !! My friends got it with other toppings and i think this drink just goes well with any toppings. Definitely recommended 100% The only thing is that it’s a bit pricey because their price got higher recently but it’s just getting expensive everywhere.. so I’m so willing to try their other desserts too.
Mango ice cream, mango slush, mango chunks, and mochi into one pot, and you get the Jumbo Mango Chewy Ball order! It's so good, perfect summer dessert. Hands down the best authentic Hong Kong handmade mango desserts there is. I also got the Five-Stars milk tea which had five toppings. Step aside alley trio, or three guys, this drink is superior. Both of these items landed me a total of $24.84, but the two items were more than excellent!
Came after dinner to get some dessert around 8pm on Saturday. It wasn’t too busy - 50% of the seats were free. Got the mango chewy ball dessert and I was pleasantly surprised. It was really refreshing with mango slush, tapioca balls, fresh mango pieces, and mango ice cream. As a mango lover I would definitely come back to this place. For dine in the staff brought our dessert to our table. By the end of our stay it did get a little rowdier and busy. The area surrounding the building only has paid parking as well.
I like the dessert of this place. However, the dine in portion they serve much more and bigger than take out cup size, especially the cost is not so cheap. I ordered 7 orders and cost almost 70 bucks. It should be opposite since people don't dine in so doesn't add the cost of service etc...cleaning or doing dishes. They should change the cup or portion for take out dessert size and better packing bag, such a poor packing and glymsy bag. Also understaffing and make service slower What is the volumn of the bowl and the cup portion? I work in many service industry I can tell less or more. People are in need to work due to Covid, so many unemployees out there...i don't believe that there are people don't want to make money for living. There are so many bubble tea shops out there and smaller than your store and they always have 3 staff and more on the floor
When you first walk into this place, the first impression you'll have is "man this place loves mango" A majority of the menu item is mango items. Got the following items: -Five Star Milk Tea -Mango Coconut with Tapioca -Taro Slush Tapioca Would not recommend the Taro Slush. A bit light on the Taro flavour. Overall, I would come back here and recommend this place to a friend. Going to have to try the mango dessert items next time I'm back
This place has so many varieties of mango desserts. We got the Jumbo Mango Chewy Ball, which basically has mango chunks, mango ice cream, chewy flour balls, and mango pudding altogether in a mango slush. It was not bad - the chewy balls were fun to eat and the mango was actually sweet. But the mango ice cream didn't taste like mango ice cream...it tasted more like durian or coconut which I found to be strange. The mango slush didn't taste as sweet as I thought it would; it was more like watered down mango slush. The total was around $17 and it fed 2 people, but I think there are better Asian dessert places out there that have better value.
